Buy Crytek and offer free cryengine licenses to third parties willing to create their games there. Something similar to waht nintendo is being doing with Unity and indies.

That depends. Nintendo has never been about approaching third parties for support, they expect them to come, they always do it the old fashion way and that has generally hurt them as business. They also don't like to support third party exclusives very often, instead opting to promote their own games (even then, they don't tend to give their games big pushes).

Now the idea that third party games don't sell well on Nintendo consoles and that people only buy Nintendo games may be true, but its rendered pointless by the fact that some third party games (shockers) actually sold decently on the N64 and Gamecube (The Wii sold a lot of third party games as well, but more casuals owned that system, and they tended to buy a lot of "shovelware"). Also Nintendo's portable systems count as well if we're talking about Nintendo systems, and third parties games sold quite well on the GBA and DS. 

How to get third party support:

Step 1. Don't be Nintendo.
Step 2. You have third party support.

It's as easy as 1, 2, and... well, err... that's it.

All they need to do is go back to their roots. Make a powerful console with a unique basic controller. Go back to the GC controller. But make the buttons close to PS3. So a GC PS3 controller combo. Again back to their roots. That powerful console. "Now You're Playing With Power" was their slogan withe the NES.

Why would they need to make a GPU update? WiiU games already look AMAZING!

Well It's true! GameCube and N64 are the exceptions because their disc/cartridges weren't as good as everyone else!

I think Wii U is fine, what is not find is price and gamepad. Wii U + Pro controller + A game like wind waker hd for 250 would sell much better, and Wii U 32gb + pro controller for 200 would sell better also.

And they wouldn't lose much money because what overprices the system is the gamepad.

I think Iwata should start offering sexual favours, sell his body to Activision and get CoD turned in to a WiiU exclusive...
