According to your definition Im Master Race. Sweet I guess.

That being said your OP is completely false. You can build a PC that can pkay every game with good settings for $1000. Factor in the insane Steam sales and its MUCH cheaper than cobsole gaming.

That being said the hunt for power is addicting and its easy to become obsessed with buying super enthusiast end components for the best image quality.

$1000 is pretty expensive for some people, especially for a computer that isn't needed.   Much of that money could to food, gas, etc.  So the OP is true.

You're just fortunate to have enough money to have the perception that it is false.

If you have a computer in the first place, you can pretty much deduct the cost of that from the mention $1000. Why? Because you already paid for your computer and the difference between what you paid and the mentioned $1000 is what you paid for your computer's gaming capabilities. Pay $400 for your computer? The cost of gaming capabilities is $1000-$400=$600. And if you're poor enough that you can't have a computer at all, I doubt you have enough money to be gaming at all.

Thats true. Ive spent $2500 on mine so far this year so to me $1000 is budget pricing. I may be looking at it wrong I can admit that. Still though as long as you dont go enthusiast PC gaming in the long run is cheaper.

Then it's just as I say, the more you pay the better you can enjoy the game.

I can for sure agree with that. But the idea PC gaming is only for rich people isnt true

I am not arguing that, I have a PC that runs everything slow but I can use it for gaming. I am arguing about the notion that PC gaming is the master race, which it's clearly not true.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

or build your own pc for slightly less then 1000$
buy games only on sales and in the long run you'll profit

Then in 2 years you can't.

This guy can be obnoxious at times, but this particular video explains the entire situation quite well. Fanboys have been referring to PC gamer's as the Master Race for ages, which in itself is an admission of inferiority. Additionally, fanboys point to the costs of PC gaming, and even though it's not true, it simply drives yet another position of superiority. That PC gamer's have more money than you.

Then there's the whole PC Gamer's only care about graphics (glances at the ridiculous amount of articles/threads regarding resolution on PS4/XB1/PS3/360 etc..)...right, makes sense. Then there's the whole PC Gamer's are pirates. Piracy is an issue, certainly, however, why do people care about piracy? Because developers don't get money right? So why again did the Gaming world flip out when Microsoft announced their DRM policy? I mean, that gives back some of the money that companies like Gamespot and EBGames etc... are raping from developers, right? If the concern is about the developers, everytime you sell a game back to these companies, you are fucking them (and yourselves).

Food for thought.

A common misconception.  What, do you think consoles are the only devices that get updates?  All one needs to do is check Nvidia and AMD's driver notes to see the  routine performance improvements across numerous titles.  The idea that PC hardware is unsupported is a fallacy.

The reality is that the average PC gamer is not that bothered with ultra-high graphics and has a machine that's likely behind the PS4 and Xbox One. The "Master Race" gamers that people talk about are only a small sub-set of PC gamers in general. Most Steam users, for example, still have computers with only 2 CPU cores.

Even beyond that, I've found that modern PC gamers in general often have a more open mind than your average console gamer. PC gamers were the first to embrace indie games, F2P titles, and MMOs. They are spread out over all kinds of genres and demographics. It's been (some) console gamers that I've seen express hate for smaller developers and a desire to only play "AAA".

As the cost of owning a decent PC has gone down, the demographics have changed markedly.

When have console fans ever called PC gamers the master race, I thought that was just the arrogant PC fanboys that did that.

I have never once met a PC gamer that seriously refferred to themselves as a Master Race

Quite often, it's used as a derogatory term for the PC community.  I mean, it has Nazi connotations after all.  Not a term I'd willingly label myself as, then again, I do enjoy hardware exclusive IP from the consoles, also.
