Forums - Microsoft - I think I know who will be making Microsofts Japanese title.

I have a very good feeling Mistwalker will be behind that major JRPG. Of course it wont win over Japan but it will be very underrated just like Lost Odyssey. I think Sakaguchi-san hates Sony, so they haven't been able to get a title out of him since Final Fantasy. I am calling it now.....it will be Blue Dragon and either a new IP or Lost Odyssey 2.

Resident evil is fabled to be xbox one exclusive. That would be much better for microsoft because more people give a damn about resident evil worldwide

That series is overhyped trash now. Its nothing compared to what it used to be. Sorry, I am all about quality and Mistwalker delivers that. Capcom is too focused on flashy crap and they cant even do it properly. I dont have my Xbox One yet, but I really wouldn't care if I missed out on Resident Evil. The story is pretty much pointless at this juncture.

Platinum.
Mistwalker is a good one too.

Resident Evil? No way.

It was a rumor from a site with zero crediblity.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

An exclusive RE game for the Xbox One would be the final nail in the coffin for that damn franchise, so make it happen, Capcom! Pretty please! =)

Personally, I think Mistwalker should go multiplat, but they haven't shown any signs in being interested in it. They let everyone else publish for them.

I just read the headline on the Xbox thread and Microsoft says it has multiple first party titles in development for Japan.

FIRST party. That means that a capcom exclusive is out of the question. Also, it means that any studio that isnt part of Microsoft wont be working on a game for them. New IP's? From Microsoft? Shocking, but seems to be the case.

Mistwalker isnt a developer btw. They only coordinate development. They usually work with Artoon (the developer).So... i guess they can be a possibility for overseeing one or two of these projects. I'm sure Lost Odyssey 2 would be something they would like to do. Weird to see Microsoft willing to lose money on Japan again though.

Well... it is not like that.

Ryse is first-party... and I'm sure Platinum's game will be first-party too... you need to know who own the IP (for example Dead Rising 3 is third-party exclusive)

Ryse is actually second party. Though Microsoft seems to own the IP.

Gears of War was second party aswell until recently.
