Nintendo has some advantages. They're the only ones that offer free online. They haven't gone big into microtransactions yet. PS4 and XBO have no exclusives at the level of 3D World yet.

They could have a go at the Vita though. but that wouldn't accomplish anything.

Remember, when 'attacking', the people who want to play for free wont really care or know about the attack. Those who are currently paying for XBL or PS+ will just laught at nintendo's online. And nintendo havent gone big on microtransactions because the games where its a problem are not on the wii U. If there was a multiplatform game, it would either have microtransactions on both versions or none of the versions.

As for PS4/X1 and 3D world, Nintendo know it wont be a long lasting advantage and considering PS4 and X1 are only a few months old, it would be silly and again, could backfire on them in the future with parody attacks.

WRONG. the gamepad isn't an acessory and it's not nearly as expensive as the kinect.

Haters would attack them even more. Fuck! Even when Iwata or Reggie makes a comment on their own business situations we have drones of people jumping on their nuts. Imagine the shirt storm when Nintendo starts taking digs at Sony and Microsoft.

Besides, I like Nintendo's humility. I do agree Nintendo needs to stand up against Sony/MS, pussing out of an E3 conferance last year was incredibly stupid, they had no balls , fuck they had 3d world, donkey kong, Mario kart 8, Smash Bros, Bayonetta and X to show - that's more than enough to make an impression -even against new console reveals.

Nintendo cant attack because:
1. Their wii u is a major failure.
2. Gamepad is a gimmick just like kinect.
3. Attack using used games was cool at first and made sense because major third party games are in ps and box. Nintendo have no major third party games and using the same tactic wont work.
4. Graphically nintendo games are way inferior. They cant use that one also.
5. PS+ / Xbox live gold might require money but their service quality is far better than nintendo.

I'd prefer if Nintendo sold less units of hardware and software over having people drawn to the company by such infantile tactics.
