Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One and Titanfall bundle makes the Microsoft game console a better deal than the PS4

The Xbox One is now available in a bundled package with Titanfall, the most eagerly anticipated game for the console so far—and the retailers Walmart and Best Buy recently cut the price of the bundle to $450, from $500. Other retailers are jumping onboard with the price cut too, as you can now snag the bundle from Target and the Microsoft Store. Since Titanfall alone costs $60, in effect the Xbox One price drops to $390.

Xbox One's main competitor, the PlayStation 4, costs $400 but doesn’t come with a game bundled or a camera (the Xbox One comes with the Kinect camera). Buying a game along with the PS4 would bring the cost up to $460. If you wanted to add the PS4's camera, that adds another $60, bringing the total price up to $520. Doing the math shows that the Xbox One Titanfall bundle is actually a better value than PlayStation 4.

Not all retailers are currently offering the bundle at the discounted price, so this isn't an official price drop and it may be for a limited time only. If you’ve been waiting for the opportunity to grab an Xbox One but the price has held you back, you might want to act quickly.

Too bad it's still getting outsold by the PS4 LOLOL ...

Valid point in this article. Some people may try to spin it around but It is a reasonable comparison to say the least.

Praise the One.

Well, the article isn't wrong. X1 has more bang for the buck with all the deals going on.

That said, buying habits are a different story.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

according to this week sales it's not to gamers

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

It's good deal if you already wanted Xbox One and Titanfall, if not it won't sway you.

In his biased opinion. Gamers worldwide disagree.

Sigh. Purchasing habits are born out of bias. This is actually objectively comparing the value of the two consoles. It isn't offensive and makes reasonable points.

$450 with a $60 game and expensive Kinect vs $400 with no game or PS camera. It isn't totally crazy to say that the Xbox provides value.

No need to be defensive when PS4 is still outselling regardless.

But there's also no need to be in denial that consumers think that PS4 is still the better deal ...

FACT: There's is no objective way to compare value when all of it is determined by consumers.

Value and top selling are not the same thing.

He's not being biased, you just don't know the difference.
