It's normal that the PS4 hasn't got a boost with MGS5:GZ ... but it helps the PS4 to not drop

But, we are talking about MGS5:GZ, a 1-2h demo ... please, don't be surprised that there is no boost ...

There will be one with the real MGS, The Phantom Pain.

Being a "1-2h demo" doesn't explain hundreds of thousands of people buying it. Why not skip it and wait for the main game?

The ps4 is tracking a lot lower than wii u and the gap will get much bigger through the year. Ps4 simply doesnt have any perspective to gain ground against all the games coming to wii u.

Now, want to make things interesting and bet? I win if ps4 doesnt surpass wii u ltd in japan in 2015. you win if ps4 pass wii u ltd in japan in 2015.

The WiiU launched during the holidays, and I highly doubt the PS4 will fall under 5k weekly like the WiiU did. The WiiU doesn't exactly have a stellar lineup, no real system sellers other than MK8 and Smash Bros.

That's a long bet. But sure I'll take it.

Those two are the biggest but it sure has a lot of other big titles coming and they all stack with the ones already released.

Sure Wii U is getting great support like Kingdom Hearts 3, FF15, MGS: The Phantom Pain, The Evil Within, Guilty Gear Xrd oh wait...

I'm also pretty sure Wii U won't be getting Resident Evil 7 and next Devil May Cry.

The Evil Whitin will be lucky if cross 200k ltd in Japan.

Mikami has a good track record with survival horror, I think it will do 500K lifetime in Japan

3ds topping the weekly hardware chart as usual. I think this will continue throughout the entire year, with a few exceptions.

Vita is really holding very, very well. All that it really needed, after all, was a model with an affordable price. Of course, the good flow of new games that started last semester also helped. Sony should definetely launch the cheaper model in the west too, and localize some games.

Now.... Mario Party Island Tour in first with 130k ?? That´s quite surprising...... after so many average reviews. With this, the title surpassed the 500k mark in worldwide physical sales.
It just proves that many consumers actually don´t care about videogame websites.

Considering how well the DS entry sold especially in Japan. It isn't much of a surprise

what is guilty gear? and many of the games you listed, wich are much smaller than nintendo's, still have a lot of time to get a wii u confirmation.

Donkey flopped, Mario 3D underwhelmed, Pikmin bombed, wonderfull 101 super bombed, all those games were also going to give the U a big boost and turn things around. Also you know what almost all those games you mentioned have in common? they are first party I'm sure Sony also has some first party title coming add that to the great third party support.

Smash and MK will move hardware but a hell lot less than what they did with original Wii.

Nice hold for the PS4. If it can keep it up, it's going to start making those comparisons to the Wii U even more ridiculous than they already were. It's already invalidated the comparisons to the Vita; the Vita pulled only 17k its fifth week. I expect it will average no lower than 20k per week between now and the start of the Christmas shopping season.

You realize metal gear was the only thing that stopped it from dropping, right?

mario didn't underwhelmed, pikmin didn't bomb. and regarding pikmin and w101, don't make up stuff, they weren't supposed to put wii u at astronomic levels.
