Interesting to see Nintendo promote F-Zero every chance they get (Nintendo Land, 3DS ambassador program and now Wii U GBA VC launch window. Could possibly add Mario Kart 8's hovering mechanic).

I'd say it won't be long until the series return. I expect an announcement arriving along with Captain Falcon's Smash Bros. confirmation.

The lineup was much better than expected, almost better than the total lineup of the 3DS e-shops VC last year imo. I'll be getting M&L SSS, Golden Sun and Advance wars at the launch of the respective games, I actually never owned a gba (!) so it's time to play catch up. :D

people were expecting multiplayer really?
Sure it would be nice, but it would take a lot more time to port which means less time to port more games.

People that want multiplayer should take turns like in the good old days: i.e. switch player every death/course clear.
