Interesting to see Nintendo promote F-Zero every chance they get (Nintendo Land, 3DS ambassador program and now Wii U GBA VC launch window. Could possibly add Mario Kart 8's hovering mechanic).
I'd say it won't be long until the series return. I expect an announcement arriving along with Captain Falcon's Smash Bros. confirmation.
