The official Wii U France page on Facebook has revealed that the Game Boy Advance Virtual Console will arrive on the Wii U on April 3rd. The first game to be made available for download is Advance Wars which is coming next week.

This is Nintendo we are talking about =P
But yes it would have made a lot more sense and I wished I could just play that N64 VC selection on my Gamepad already without another controller.

Yeah there's a lot of N64 games I would love to revisit. I hope Gamecube VC is in the works for Wii U as well, as that is the only Nintendo console I missed out on. If that happened, I would never have to suffer another Wii U drought again :)
Not really a fan of the tatics genre. And don't get too exicted, NoA and NoE have a sightly different line-up each one. Will come? Sure, but maybe only on 2~3 months.

This, so much. It makes no goddamn sense that this isn't already set up.
To me this highlights exactly why Nintendo is failing, we know the 3DS supports GBA games, Ambassador members got some years ago.
This should be launching on both Wii U and 3DS and should of launched 12 months ago, with cross buy support.
Easy wins for Nintendo and there still making a meal of it.

I really don't get all the complaints about the Virtual Console. I tend to see it as an added bonus that I'll buy a game from every once in a while. I don't really get how people could get mad because x game (or system) isn't available. What is even more ridiculous is when people complain about what is available, like when people complain about the fact that GBA or DS games are going to be available on the Wii U...
Anyways, thats a pretty good game to start off with and one that I would very much like to play ^.^
