I think most people know the reputation this series has...its not really the best. Having an outside party help with the games is likely a good thing as it could introduce fresh ideas and concepts to the franchise and maybe infuse it with more variety. 

You seem to be needlessly judgemental about some people's optimism...what exactly is your problem?

judgemental about people's optimism? it's the other way around, it's their negativity towards anything not nintendo that bothers me.

Tecmo Koei has released many good games and i dont think the short sightedness of some people here is in the least deserving, it's just a bunch of gamers who stick to games with the nintendo label on them and disregard anything else.

Seems to me that most people are talking about the Dynasty Warriors franchise in this thread, and when it comes to these games, you pretty much know what you are going to get. I don't think people saying things like "dynasty warriors is too repetitive in my opinion - hopefully with Nintendo lurking in the background Hyrule Warriors will have more depth" is anything to get angry about. It seems to me that a lot of people just dont like this type of games and hope Nintendo's involvement makes it something more than it already is. 

Essentially, your anger seems misplaced and your point seems to be a large over generalization.

you havent really said anything to deter my point so my opinion, though as a generalization as it may be, is only the image of nintendo fans that they themselves feed on these forums. I'll stick to it and smile happily at the random exceptions I find along.

Never played a Dynasty Warriors game.

Aonuma ist the producer of the game and won't accept a game that is worse than the Dynasty Warriors games. I think it will be a solid game, but not a must-have.

It will be Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin, nothing more and nothing less. Nintendo wont care that it recieves a bad meta for being such as they know it has selling potential in Japan with the Musou series where it will be recieved well and hopefully in the west Zelda die hards buy it regardless of their thoughts on the game... and the small niche of Musou fans with a WiiU

I absolutely hate those Musou games but since it has a Nintendo character I will probably buy it. Nintendo's involvement should give the series a boost in quality.

I like the gundam ones but it is mostly because I like the gundam series. I like Zelda so I am optimistic this will be something to consider.


And some people in this thread need to stop trying derail this thread by being concerned about fanboys pseudo hyping this title. We get it, there are some posers out there, but this is also the internet so anonymity and self misrepresentation are a given. Just move on.

Nope =P

Nintendo's involvement will mean Nintendo licenced stuff is in the game and thats it.

If you hate Musou you will hate this, unless of course your so much of a Zelda fanboy that anything with Zelda automatically makes it amazing to you.

Musou games are a lot of fun if you go in not expecting too much. I've had a lot of fun with the titles I've played; though they're definitely not for everyone.

No reason not to be excited if you can find some enjoyment in the gameplay and like the Zelda universe. I had fun with a Ratchet & Clank tower defence game, so I'd play the exact same logic here (if you enjoy the series and can attune yourself to a change of pace, it can be fun).

Reading this thread I've come to the conclusion that.... If Nintendo would dress a piece of actual turd in a Mario or Zelda outfit people would still  buy it no matter what! Kinda sick and disturbing....
