Zero hype.

I prefer only Link in my Zelda games.

Um, so you dont like any Zelda games?? Last I checked every Zelda game has multiple characters =P

If you mean playable characters well its still unconfirmed that we can play as anyone else but that would take away a lot of the games depth which seems stupid.

Not so much into spinoff games; so I have no hype for this game.
Doesn't mean that I won't check out upcoming gameplay/reviews when it finally comes out and see if it looks interesting.

BUT LINKS CROSSBOW TRAINING!!! =P

Its the only Zelda title my Aunt has played... she is just leagues ahead of me at it =(

Crossbow training was such garbage lol.

i have to laugh at the hypocrisy of nintendo fans saying that because tecmo koei is working under nintendo the game might be good. PLEASE, what qualification do u have to judge tecmo koei's games? played many?

that's the problem with most nintendo fans, it's the little bubble they live in.

I think most people know the reputation this series has...its not really the best. Having an outside party help with the games is likely a good thing as it could introduce fresh ideas and concepts to the franchise and maybe infuse it with more variety.

You seem to be needlessly judgemental about some people's optimism...what exactly is your problem?

I recently played through Dynasty Warrior Next on the Vita and in short bursts the game is quite fun, especially if you try some different characters etc, but the only reason I actually completed the campaign was because it ended shortly before I was ready to stop playing the game anyway. The gameplay is just so incredibly repetitive that ,while I did enjoy my time as I stated, I probably won't play any musou game again and I'm pretty surprised some people buy multiple games in the franchise/in that style.

The fact that you played DW Next wont help your opinion. I mean if you didnt like it you wont like the others a whole lot more but DWN imo is possibly the worst DW ever made.

lolwut. DWN is eons ahead of the DW6 crapfest.

Well I never played 6, didnt get my PS3 until 2011.

well I thought it was obvious the problem was people talking down about TK.

Also its not just the series but talking down TK as a whole. You cant judge a company by one series... unless they only make on series =P

I had a lot of fun with DWN, I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had. I've played DW2-6 with Empires/Xtreme Legends sprinkled here and there. Excited to finally play DW8 with PS4 release.

judgemental about people's optimism? it's the other way around, it's their negativity towards anything not nintendo that bothers me.

Tecmo Koei has released many good games and i dont think the short sightedness of some people here is in the least deserving, it's just a bunch of gamers who stick to games with the nintendo label on them and disregard anything else.

What no 7??

Anyway Ive played 4,5 and 7 aswell as some XL and Empires. Imo DW5 and DW5XL are the best in the series. I was also a big fan of 4 being my first, 7 while good was lacking something and hopefully 8XL has a lot more. Also I want Edit Mode in my XL damn it =(

I skipped 7 because DW6 was the first DW game I didn't love. 3 and 4 were my favorites.

Seems to me that most people are talking about the Dynasty Warriors franchise in this thread, and when it comes to these games, you pretty much know what you are going to get. I don't think people saying things like "dynasty warriors is too repetitive in my opinion - hopefully with Nintendo lurking in the background Hyrule Warriors will have more depth" is anything to get angry about. It seems to me that a lot of people just dont like this type of games and hope Nintendo's involvement makes it something more than it already is.

Essentially, your anger seems misplaced and your point seems to be a large over generalization.

I'm not hyped at all, but I will probably give it a try (maybe not with a metascore lower than 70).

Never played a Dynasty Warriors game.

Aonuma ist the producer and won't accept a game that is worse than the Dynasty Warriors games. I think it will be solid an on par with recent DW games, but not a must-have.
