1:10 - Mario Party 10 gets announced. It would cause groans, but I want a Mario party game for the Wii U. Maybe there could be some clever use of the Gamepad so that one player manages the game like a dungeonmaster while 4 other players run around in it? That alone could make this the best Mario Party since the N64 days.

@bold: I groaned here

@italics: I audibly exclaimed "Holy shit that'd be so cool!" here

But in that dream conference, you forgot 2 VERY important, VERY likely things:

1. The upcoming Nintendo NFC software. They're supposedly trying to make better use of NFC. Here's a quote from the third quater results financial briefing:

"This year, we will make full use of this function by preparing multiple proposals, including the implementation of NFC payments with JR East's "Suica," which we announced on a previous occasion. We will showcase our detailed propositions for utilizing NFC functionality at E3 in Los Angeles in June."

Suica is a "smartcard", a rechargeable, contactless fair card for train lines in Japan. It won't be featured at E3, but the policy change you mentioned might have something to do with that. There will almost certainly be software that uses NFC as well, not just NFC payment abilities.

2. MIYAMOTO'S NEW IP!!! He's been working on it for a LONG time now, he HAS to have something to show by now. It's rumored to be an adventure game...

Open with Miyamoto's new IP. Start things off with a bang.

Just announce the next Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby or Donkey Kong - as long as they do that, dont care how they do their shows.

No! No more Donkey Kong! I'd argue no more Kirby as well, unless it's a fully 3D one for the Wii U. That'd be a first for the series. And no more Pokemon unless it's that Pokken Tournament game for the Wii U. And no more Mario unless it's a true 3D Mario. And they can talk more about Hyrule Warriors, but they better also announce Zelda U!

What would really make me happy would be a Metroid U and Metroid 3DS announcement. Or Star Fox, but that won't happen.

No more Mario....pokemon or Donkey Kong?

You must be from the Twilight Zone where Nintendo is TRULY d00m3D :O!

No, I just don't want X/Y's sales to be cut short. I did give conditions for everything but Donkey Kong, didn't I? So long as it's the Pokken Tournament game, it shouldn't hurt X/Y. The reason I said the Mario game has to be a true 3D Mario is because people are getting Mario fatigue, and that's the only thing that would be really interesting at this point to most people. 3D Land 2 on the 3DS wouldn't excite people, we just got 3D World. There's a rumor of Mario vs. Donkey Kong Wii U, and unless they truly revolutionize that series, it won't excite anyone.

Nintendo is NOT doomed. They have 11 BILLION dollars in ACTUAL CASH. That's not including buildings, IPs, or other assets they could sell off. They also have almost no debt. They're fine. I just want them to diversify and innovate like they always do, and not go the route of the 3rd party AAA's that annualize everything.

Like most people, I want Nintendo to do an E3 conference, but I also want them to have a Direct and hands on events. The E3 conference would get them the press coverage they need, and force people to pay attention, instead of Nintendo Directs which get maybe a couple million views worldwide, tops. However, by having the E3 conference, Nintendo could draw interest to several titles, ones that they can't afford to due justice at the conference with the limited time they have, then spend the Nintendo Direct filling in more details to do them justice. Then the hands on events would give ME, as well as tons of people who couldn't go to the conference, the chance to try some of the titles they had there. I REALLY want to try the new Smash Bros.

Where do people even get this information, do you have proof (like an actual financial report) or are you going by a MyNintendo article or a random youtuber lol.

Scroll down, find where it says "Cash on Hand". Then under it, "Debt".

11.6 billion in cash on hand, only 2 million in debt. They could pay off their debt and have 11.598 billion in cash on hand.

E3 direct would be a bad move. Only the hardcore (existing) fans care about that. They need a presentation that will get the gaming media, mainstream media and gamers talking. They have the talent, they have the resources. They can do it.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Any proof that only hardcore fans cared and that they didn't get people talking last year? Apparently many of yal feel they should go with a conference, but I haven't heard much reason as to why that'd be better.
