Guess this reverses some of the gains made by the X1 in the UK during the past 4 weeks where it outsold the PS4?

4 weeks...?? so VGChartz is incorrect cause it show XB1 outsell PS4 in UK only on 01st and 08th of march...

I say 4 weeks because of this piece by MCV which was quoted around the web.  I am guessing the PS4 has been able to catch up for the 2 or 4 weeks it dipped behind once stock has been made available.

Microsoft’s Xbox One has been the best-selling games console for four weeks in a row, MCV understands.

The machine has benefited from a £30 price cut, while the launch of Titanfall last week caused a surge in console sales of 96 per cent.

But retailers have told MCV that PS4 remains in control, and that Xbox’s recent success has been aided by shortages of Sony’s console.

In fact, a fresh supply of PS4s last weekend caused a 72 per cent rise in sales.

MCV understands that Sony is preparing to release extra stock into the trade for this Friday’s launch of Infamous: Second Son, which is PlayStation’s big hope for the quarter.

VGC is missing the Feb 22nd week... this week Xbone sold more than PS4 in UK... below I'm listing all the official weeks Xbone sold more than PS4 by MCV:

Feb 22nd
Mar 1st
Mar 8th
Mar 15th

PS4 sold more in Mar 22nd again confirmed by MCV.

PS4 will likely globally outsell Xbox One in March. NPD will be interesting. Could be very close.

With Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy dropping XB1 price Im thinking X1 will now easily take March NPD. Maybe 300k vs 350k

All these places are dropping XB1 price?

I guess it´s as close as it gets to an official price cut by MS.

only the same % boost as titanfall.

...am i wrong to be disappointed?

Depends on stock. If they were restricted then (assuming these numbers are true) it's not. If they haven't been held back by anything then yes, like the Titanfall boost it's pretty disappointing. You'd expect a bigger boost from the 1st major post launch release of both consoles.

yeah, that whole stock thing certainly plays a factor.   ..but seriously, fuck sony for not getting more stock out.  it should not be that hard to get  ~200k consoles a week on the market.  this 130-150k weekly is pathetically low.

infamous and titanfall as that last known (aka dated) AAA exclusives that we know of for a long time.  get some fucking consoles into stores.  if they sell out that would typcially be great.   ...but if they sellout and sony still only sell 200k sony is litterally killing their hype generating moments off.

PS4 is doing PS3 last year numbers, and less than half the numbers it was pushing in 2009 and 2010.

Ah... and I´ve read here that UK received a large bunch of PS4s the Titanfall week.

+ 5 days in stock at Amazon and Bestbuy, 4 days at Meijer and the Infamous bundle is still available at GameStop.

Yes, demand is insane...

how many months has it been now that i've had to reread slightly different versions of this same post?

downplay ps4 all you want but ~7M in it's first fiscal year is impressive.  55% more impressive than ~4.5M...

Wait wait i know how to do this

7m from the savior of gaming

vs 4.5m from the most hated console

how do you mean impressive?

Maybe at E3 they´ll officially announce it.For now it might be a temporary price cut to show on March NPD that in the month Titanfall was released, they were able to surpass PS4 numbers.
