It's a fun game, but the level design is really cheap after Casino Zone too many blind leaps and just nowhere near up to the standard of a decent 2D sonic game. If it wasn't a Sonic game, it'd be passable, but it just isn't up to the quality of the best 2D Sonic titles.


I can agree with that, but its the closest i have seen a sonic game with 3D  graphics get to the original mega drive games.

Very good game, I enjoyed it a lot. The core gameplay for both classic and modern modes is a blast. I agree that the boss battles aren't great, though I did like the Silver rival battle. My main gripe with the game (aside from the final boss, which is indeed awful) is that the side levels are hit-or-miss.

My main gripe is that Classic Sonic did not control the same as the Genesis games. Atleast he's better than a werehog though. Modern Sonic is awesome as usual though!

You know, the entire time I was playing it, all I could think was "OMG Remake of S1-3&K + CD in this engine!" haha.

That said, that Sonic 3D on eShop is really really good.

nah.silver rival battle was the 2nd shortest(after metal)

I have been intrigued by it and Streets of Rage 3D. But i'm not sure i am willing to pay 5 euros for each one. Maybe for both in a special sale. I have already bought Sonic 1 like 3 times already. xD

the Genesis boss battles were good, I dont know what the hell has happened recently

i agree with the bosses, but does the PC version really have framerate drops, kind of hard to believe seeing as the PS3 version has very little.
