it probably isn't a huge revolutionary step for the franchise..

just a nexgen visual upgrade..

AC IV was a big revolution for the franchise.. AC III added triversing trees and killing animals in the wilderness..

The only AC game I hated was III and to a lesser extent I. I've enjoyed every other release (though I've yet to finish Black Flag). 

So when they release AC5 it won't sound like the series is up to 9 console entries and milked.

One simple reason.

They have 2 AC games this year instead of one. You can't give one the official V designation and not the other because it makes the other game seem way less important, like that user base is getting screwed. And you can't give them both the official V stamp with just different subtitles because it makes everyone feel like they're only getting half the story.

They want to avoid it seeming like they're milking the franchise to death by releasing three numbered entries in three consecutive years.
