I saw some here, but pretty sure there are other topics : http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=180093&page=1#

That's no different than the majority voting for inFamous metacritic to be over 90. Or fans massively voting for Wii U to outsell X1 in Q1. Fans vote for highest possibilities.

Which will sell more in Q1 - Xbox One or WiiU?

Xbox One 290 41.85%

WiiU 353 50.94%

Tie 50 7.22%

Total: 693

So why is it, in your words 'Beautiful', when Kowenicki posted the poll on the inFamous review thread but now someone has found this poll, that is just as overly optimistic, you're making excuses?

Because the actual metacritic for inFamous had the least amount of votes. Which is hilarious to me. Not the fact that people massively voted for the highest.

72% boost of PS4 sales in the UK but only a 2k boost week over week in all of europe? Something seems very fishy, or was stock that low?

I can help you... this was a BS rumor from a single twitter.

Unconfirmed till the bone.

Lol, no. Looking at the UK charts this week it is plain obvious that the PS4 got a pretty big boost, but I wouldn't expect you to believe this.

That's a valid statement for Ryse, but not particularly for Killzone. SF's 1st week pretty much was US sales (220k out of 250k), since the EU was a little while after. He is right though, TF's sales are likely less than what MS/EU were hoping for. They are still huge numbers, but not quite as huge as many (including myself) were expecting.

For context, many people here thought it was more than reasonable that the "2.5 million before the end of the month" prediction was perfectly possible, even likely. That's now pretty unlikely. I doubt it could have pulled it off even if the 360 version launched at the same time.

Titanfall US only has outsold Killzone Shadowfall's North American lifetime in the 1st week

So? No one is saying TF's sales aren't impressive, they just aren't as impressive as expect. He was simply pointing out SF managed those numbers with a tiny install base, considerably less hype and mediocre reviews to boot.

Sorry, not impressive. Good sales for the game. But xbone should have done more than that for the hype. I expect ps4 to undretracked again and beat x1 for the month. It seems theres nothing MS can do to stop sony at this point.

Really? xbone outsell ps4 this week "globally" is not impressive? with no xbone in japan? ..wow ok...

Ps3 outsold xbox 360 in Killzone 2 week it's normal when a big game out that the game who had it will outsell it competitor in this week

Xbox one will be lucky to had 50k first week in japan.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

My prediction was completely wrong, I thought it would sell more XB1 with Titanfall.
I wonder if the drop is going to be big or not in the second week...

155,106 vs. 74,441 is a 108% increase week over week.

am i wrong to be not all that impressed? i mean, for the GotG and for being this early in the generation where an exclusive game can have the highest amount of impact.

yes

and didnt you hear... it isnt exclusive whioch is why it wont move any consoles at all... I mean, "why would anyone buy a one for this... they can play it on their 360"

I'm curious, who are the people that said this? Any examples?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I guess we'll just have to see the legs. Plus, Titanfall has been #1 digitally downloaded game since its release over free games like Project Spark, Killer Instinct and Xbox Fitness. We have no way of tracking it but I do believe its digital sales are high.

These are good, not great, numbers for Microsoft. Any time you can come out on top you take it, and its deserving this week due to Titanfall. But in the end they are more concerned about whether this can be a more sustained boost. If they fall back behind next week due to SS and then drift back to their pre-titanfall territory too quickly this one week won't matter. That is why I believe they intentionally pushed back the 360 copy until after this quarter ends to try and get the best One sale figures they can for their quarterly report (it will be the first official sales from the company since they announced over 3 million months ago).

I own both consoles so I very much wish both companies can find some success and parity in sales. If I'm being honest, I still think Microsoft needs to do more to get back into this thing. I think a lot of people still question if they can go toe-to-toe with the Sony 1st party studios for an entire generation.
