Forums - Sony - Sony: PS4 Demand Will Outstrip Supply Into the Summer

lmao at said gamestop employee thinking he knows shit..

when I used to basically have best buy's stock in a BIG ASS CITY at the palms of my hand.. yet they still didn't know any INSIDE info on sony or other companies in terms of re stocking..

some people like to run with their power and act a fool

?

This isn't even anything negative. I already know the only reason you are referrencing me is because you are taking this as a negative, when its not.  IMO PS4 will probably still outsell the Xbox One this entire summer, I'm simply saying shipments will be lower in April than in March. I don't think that, I know it for a fact.

And Best Buy does less business in hardware than we do.......in fact Gamestop is the number 1 retailer of Sony hardware in all of NA. And you only knew 1 store in a big city.

6 out of 10 of my nearest Best Buys have PS4 in stock. While they all have the Xbox One Titanfall bundle in stock. Well at least according to there website.

I'll also add other retailers may be different, as again I'm not God and don't have any kind of all seeing eye. Maybe Wal Mart will recieve a higher allocation than normal, though from what I'm seeing I don't think that's the case.

I'm thinking April will probably be a good month for Europe similarly to how NA just had a huge amount of PS4's shipped in the last two weeks.

Things were getting better this month.

And they're about to get worse again.

I feel like tjat could be said for XB1 too but in different context. NPD will be interesting (i think they will be closer than ever). Question, has MS sent a rep to convert XB1s into bundles at gamestop yet?

We do that ourselves, our Reps don't

What do you mean convert XB1 into bundles?

How many consoles are they making a month? It surely can't be 1.4mil like Pachter said!

Yes, usually have the inventory sent to us and convert the systems into bundles ourselves, in fact I've never even heard of a rep doing that at our company. But I'm not here to divulge all of Gamestop's business practices so I'm gonna go ahead and exit this thread as I've probably already said way too much.

today an MS Rep opened all old XB1s and put un a DL code for forza, resealed them and slapped a forza sticker on the box to make it a forza bundle. The guy wasnt really pleased he had to go around to a bunch of stores doing it to every XB1.

Oh right, didn't think they were allowed to do open them once they've been shipped. Guessing they've done this with the TF bundles as I've seen pictures of it which looks like a normal X1 box with TF card around the box.

If they announce 7mil at the end of March we would know its at least 1m a month. 4.2->7m in three months and 6->7 in one month. I dont know if it will be that highe though. But Im expecting 300k in US alone.
