No, it doesn't even have DX11.2 tiling stuff in yet.

That's likely rubbish considering the fact that DX 11.2 has being available for a long time and is supported in the X1. DX 12 just gives more benefis to PC gamers like myself so X1 owners already likely had games with DX modifications from the features of DX 12.

I don't find any good reason to believe you. There's been specific statements about the new X1 SDK having DX 11.2 tiling included, and specific word that DX12 will be in upcoming games. Why should we take your word on this when you are the only person saying it and have no reason to say so?

lol I like how they didn't give a clear answer on Windows 7, they must know that people hate Windows 8 in general already so they really should either have it on Windows 7 or we need a properly working Windows 9.

Games Target is Holiday 2015. But not sure if that includes or excludes Xbox One.

Xbox One will be the soonest to implement I reckon.  MS already has it remember.  Its theirs.

This is a wise statement.

It is also somewhat misleading because XBox One has most of the DX12 stuff already implemented.

Some of the capability, perhaps.  Utilisation, particularly by 3rd parties, no.  The tools dont exist do they?  thats the whole point isnt it?

Third parties have the X1 SDK. The SDK contains something similar to DX<insert a number of your liking> function calls. There are several possibilities at this time:

1. The whole function call implementation is high-level. This basically means X1 now runs like a pc (on the DX level). This again means X1 games are slow.

2, The whole function call implementation is already low-level. This means X1 games will show zero speed increase.

3. The whole function call implementation is partly low-level. This means X1 games might show some speed increases once the fci is wholly implemented in low-level.

4. The whole function call implementation is low level, but incomplete (a sub-set of DX12). Same result as in 3.

Which one possibility is true we don't know because today's presentation said absolutely nothing about what DX12 actually is.

What we know, after the presentation, is the following:

1. An Intel guy was there saying essentially nothing, but "we like DX12"

2. A Qualcomm guy was there saying essentially nothing, but "we like DX12"

3. An NVidia guy was there saying essentially nothing, but "we like DX12"

4. No AMD guy was there saying essentially "we would have liked Mantle to survive"

5. Micrsoft is sitting on a PC version of Forza 5 (but can't make anything out of it because it would piss all over the X1 version on a strong PC - and they want to push their console, not any PC).

6. If Microsoft ever thinks of gutting the XBox business, it would take them (and any other developer) roughly a fortnight to port any X1 game to the PC (the 4 man-month slide)....

A few months is not a long time in game/tech development.

Microsoft annouced DirectX 12 today, and they first games are supposed to come out Holiday 2015.  That's a fast development time, but still almost 2 years away.

So no, DirectX 11.2 isn't even fully on the Xbox One yet.  But things like full 64 bit only, which is part of Windows 9 are.  So no, you don't have DirectX 12 features yet.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

All I know after your long post is that you are saying essentially nothing. I don't even know which of your hardware supports your essential nothingness, information that Intel, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and AMD were kind enough to provide.

OK, so your turn. List what ACTUAL information about DX12 (and not stuff we already know) was revealed by any of the folks. I'm waiting.

Why don't you put down that kool-aid for a moment and we'll actually have a real chat ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I5TEpAnuEg  DX 11.2 was released with windows 8.1 since god damned OCTOBER.

The API was ALREADY LIKELY supported since the X1 LAUNCHED.

Im confused. Is Forza 5 a DX12 game or its being patched

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

DX11.2 was released a month before the Xbox One shipped so the games that came out on it that had been in development for two years probably used it? October is like five months ago. All I'm saying is that the tiled memory resource thing they are talking about implementing in the new X1 SDK is supposedly a part of DX11.2, so it can't have been too implemented in the current games or they wouldn't need a new SDK for it. DX12 is certainly not already in effect on the released games on this system.
