Epic will make DirectX 12 version of Unreal Engine 4!
Tim Sweeney says it's a great step forward.

True, with improved graphics AND battery life for phones. So you can run games and still use it for things later.
Games Target is Holiday 2015. But not sure if that includes or excludes Xbox One.

I guess DX12 will expose the programmable blending but there's only one vendor from from the desktop space that supports programmable blend and that's intel with the new haswell line of processors.
There are games such as GRID 2 that exposed programmable blend in the haswell chips despite directx not supporting it initially.
lol reading some of the user comments and they are pretty funny since they sound so stupid with their shitty math and not having any idea what some terms even mean.
example:
So 20GFLOPS per frame is 20x60 = 1200GFLOPS/sec? 20% improvement?
WHAT IS THAT SHIT!? LOL!

This is a wise statement.

It is also somewhat misleading because XBox One has most of the DX12 stuff already implemented.

Wow so no games until 2016 basically that's a long time away.
I was going to get an X1 for Titan Fall but with 6v6 and AI bots kind of ruined it for me. Quantum break is the next one I'm waiting for. Alan Wake was one of my favorite games last gen so hopefully this one will deliver as well. The TV show thing has me worried though to many hands in the honey pot so to speak. Could end up ruining the game with so many people trying to make decisions on the game and not letting them make it how they want to.

No, it doesn't even have DX11.2 tiling stuff in yet.
