Forums - Gaming - With great power comes great responsibility. What Sony, Valve and OR need to do for gaming.

No, thank you very much. Try implementing VR for cinema first, then destroy experience gaming later.

I am still concerned about the health aspect of that device. But with enough push and the right games VR will become a good fad.

PS: interesting that some here who praises Sony´s VR are the same who shit on the U$100 cost that Kinect adds to the XOnem, when it´s clear that a good VR system won´t came for less than U$300.

Except Sony's VR is an optional extra while you cant buy an Xbox One without the Kinect.

Because we all know how optional devices get such a good support.

Kinect 1 with 25mi units die out in less than three years.

My wife has been working on a horror game specifically for VR for at least 8 months now, its scary as shit.

uses the VR and Binaural audio to seriously mess with your head.

That could be a good use for it. Papa Sangre was a great experience on iOS.

VR is a thing for the next generation.

I don´t think game developers and the general public are ready for this tecnology as it is presented now and for the next few years.

It´s not even a problem of raw power or hardware price.

Really, do continue, you bring me such joy with your bitter posts.

kinteic is useless forced add on, theres nothing that makes it worth while about it at the moment and no one wants it other then MS.

While sonyVr is a prototype, and they arent forcing it on any PS4 owners and people seem to actually want it.

world of difference there.

Current games will be fun in VR, but yeah it's the fully new experiences that I'm looking forward to.

For a while these games will all just be gimmicks about presence, but hopefully we'll move on and discover deep and immersive gameplay centered around VR.

i hope so. i guess we should all look forward to when naughty dog brings their first VR game.

That's pretty much what Sony already said yesterday and what indies also showed with Oculus, that you have to think different and that you have the chance to develop totally different experiences which are maybe not even a part of this "genre thinking"

well time to walk the walk and not just talk the talk then. its a good thing they are saying stuff like that, but they have to deliver the content to back it up.
