If it presents a viable solution to a more expensive television, and a more immersive experience than a TV or a monitor, and they produce games that take advantage of this, why not?

I can't see much value in this... it feels suitable only for a small variety of genres (like Move or PS Eye). My favourite Genres will simply not need this.

It will have its novelty effect, but after a year or two most companies will drop their support.

To be honest, I don't get all this pushes for hardware innovation. Hardware is fine, they should put their focus on actual games...
