Sonic Lost World Wii U says hi.

I love MGS, but I am not going to support this. It has been blatantly obvious since the original announcement that they split the beginning tiny bit off MGSV to exploit everyone's love for this series to make an extra $30 off all the fans. I disagree with it. I will play this on plus or pay $5 for it in 6 months, USED. MGS is one of the best series ever, but supporting these models gives the perception that consumers are ok with this. Essentially paying 50% of the price of the game for a trailer in advance. Before all the "hey MGS is so insanely great that I will get 800 playthroughs of this and they are the best team ever, TANKER DEMO TAAAANNNKKER DEMMOO!!" etc. etc. Yeah we could have also just played it as the first part of the full game which is what everyone knows they originally intended, but they saw cash grab opportunity and went for it.  If you are OK with that, enjoy GZ.

Can't wait to watch the World Record speedruns on this. 4 minutes? 3 minutes? fifty-six seconds?

Morrowind 7.5 minutes (shorter versions available

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mjgtpMKhIE

Mario 64 1 hour 47 minutes with 120 stars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGu6YXTnbeU

LOZ OOT 2 hours 35 minutes with all dungeons

This MGSV is a "demo" discussion has become a virus and is a joke.

wtf $40 for 10mins.

Why are people even buying this shit?

A) It's $30

B) It's closer to 2 hours if you aren't trying to speedrun

C) There are additional side missions.

I also love how everyone replying apparently didnt even watch the video and listen to the wealth of disclaimers at the beginning and just jump on board thinking they literally booted up the game and 10 minutes later it was over.

I've seen people run Dark Souls 2 in about 2 hours, probably more like 40-60 for a patient playthrough. Doesn't mean it's not worth $60. If a single run through the story is all you plan on doing with this game, then it's probably not worth the purchase right now. $30 sounds reasonable for 15ish hours beating it, playing side missions and exploring for secrets in my opinion.

I remember how much time I sank into the MGS2 tanker demo back in the day. Sure that was free but looking back, it would have easily been worth some money down. I'll be picking this up after inFamous to fill time till WatchDogs.

Agreed and you could make the argument for any game available at any pricepoint to be honest. I love great narrative and immersion but we play videogames to engage in all aspects of them, at least I do. We pay $10 to view a movie in theaters for 2 hours to be told a story. The beauty of videogames is not just playing to be a part of the main narrative its being in control of the narrative to an extent and the freedom it allows.

Even linear games offer a sense of freedom, just like TLOU. How to tackle each chapter or mission is the beauty of being able to play it. It's becoming apparent I am in the minority here with what I love about videogames. If people want a story told to them then skip videogames and go to the cinema. I spend $10 on a great album for 60ish minutes of music that is identicle everytime I listen to it but I find different things in the music everytime. I can go back and listen to Kid A today and find different nuances in those songs. This is how I play my videogames.

Totally worth the money and time! Glad to see Konami treat their only relevant franchise so nicely!  I am sarcastic of course.
