SSB4 Sales shouldn't be prioritized over the Wii U's, unless of course the Wii U is Nintendo's Vita.

Why would they do that? It'd be like releasing Pokemon X 3 months before Pokemon Y! I mean they're basically the same game, so they should release at the same time! |
In order to give each one a launch boost that doesn't hurt the other.

Who says the 3DS version will kill the Wii U version?
That's like saying that new refrigerator model will kill the new microwave ovens.

Yep, since as I've been saying, SSB4 wont move Wii U units long term regardless of whether or not it's exclusive, so better to maximize profits and boost up the system that's actually doing something. Good job not responding to my previous response towards ya though! |
Thing is this will kill any future home console sales too because people will expect the next smash to be on a portable too.
This strategy kind of puts those hybrid system rumors bit closer to reality. Sad part is if they do have a hybrid system how will this system ever keep up with Sony even at PS4 levels. It will be so outdated unless the console has its own super hardware (almost PS5 level) and the portable has its own different hardware

Uh no, the Wii U version alone will obviously be short of Brawl, but it doesn't have to sell like Brawl to sell well. Hence I brought up Melee, a game that sold really well despite the GCN's poor install base. |
If Mario can't get those 5M sales, SSB4 won't either.
