Yeah, but no one has been majorly playing the final version of the game. Even the version IGN and Gamespot were playing was a controlled demo. The devs said the resolution is the same. They just cleared up that they fixed the game to work on the time of day with the lighting in the engine.

There was just a thread saying 600 inFamous games were sold and the OP even says this is the retail version.

The difference in the time of day makes a comparison really hard...

The director said the game and the demo from E3 are pretty much the same resolution. The lighting was just fixed for certain periods of the day.

I think it looks both better an worse. Some details are better at some places and some detail are worse at some places. Some details removed and some details added.

But why is it so much darker, is it night instead of day? Less bloom?

Overall perhaps a downgrade. But I'm not the person to jump to conclusions. :)

No need. We've seen gameplay. Not close to the bullshots. It would be like expecting Forza or GT to look as good as the photo mode BS they use to market them. I'm sure the gameplay will be vintage Infamous, but the graphics are clearly downgraded.

looking at it,some gifs of last year look better,and some gifs from retail look better,whatever gif had darker lighting is the one that looked worse to me,it just takes out too much detail.....overall they're both pretty close...

 

 

gifts/screens never do games justice, gameplay graphics look GREAT,and imo,look lust as good as last years e3,character/car/building textures at minimum look just as good (just rewatched last years e3 footage and buildings in the bakground had really poor pop-up washed out textures in last years e3)..   the particles on his power bomb special(when he jumps way in the air and crashes down) certainly looks a bit watered down imo..

Can we get some direct feed screenshots rather than debating about compression screens of a youtube video at 720p? Because if the game actually looked like that don't you think the media would be blowing it up right now?

Visual Downgrade my ass when you haven't even seen a direct feed.

Surprised at the responses, other sites quickly came to the conclusion that they cant be compared cause different time of day, 2014 pics are obviously compressed lower quality images ect ect
