lol funny ass shit I picked rainbow road with 10ppl racing when I got done 4ppl left 6 ppl disconnected ahhaah ...yea I suck with wii wheel too been using gc-controller

 after i got 2 stars in all 150cc, it happened

Dry Bowser: Get a "One Star" rank or better in all 150cc Wii Cups.

I really enjoy the Wii Wheel. I hate it for bikes though, it just doesn't turn very well, but for karts, it works extremely well. Classic controller is pretty good, as is a Gamecube controller (both of which make bikes so much easier to use).

I love this game, I don't really see how people are saying it was a huge step back or that it alienated the hardcore. It feels great to me!

I have 5 cups a star
A on Star cup
C on Flower cup
and a D on Special Cup...

Try going thru time trial mode a billion times. Make sure you can at least beat the base ghost and memorized where the course traps are. When you have your kart/character combo to where you can do that 1 star should be easy.

Also remember to focus on the worst stage when practicing. On stages you are bad at you may need to do a specific kart to do well on it. Screwing up one track will bring down your rating a lot. Your good stages should be doable with a sub-optimal set-up.
