Exclusives and multi-plats should have separate lists.

nice tagging

Maby you could add another line at the bottom where it shows the total sales for each console (for those titles)?

Exclusives can easily be measured via the Game Database on this site. Mixing multiplats and exclusives is something done less easily, which is the inspiration of this thread in the first place.

Good work as usual Salnax. I'll be sure to follow.

Though Killzone on Wii U needs looking at!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Wii u users have good taste, that's why Killzone flopped!

Cool thread.

Well, no, they don't. This is specifically a list devoted for consoles, and I personally think of the 3DS as a part of a distinct category. Besides, the top of the list would just be composed of 3DS exclusives if I included it.

Notes

  • We'll see a lot less Wii U exclusives by the end of the year. Even as Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros 4, and maybe Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze enter this list, games like Wind Waker HD, LEGO City, and Pikmin 3 are likely to get booted out in a matter of weeks, especially after the release of Titanfall, Infamous: Second Son, and MGS5: Ground Zeroes.
  • So far, 14 of these games are exclusives, while 10 are multiplatform. However, expect this exclusive bias to change quickly, especially since the bottom six entries of the list are exclusives.
  • Electronic Arts is the leading third party, with 2 of the top 5 Gen 8 console games thus far, even including Wii U exclusives. Japan, meanwhile, is only represented via 1st parties. Even Dead Rising 3 is published by Microsoft, not developer Capcom. However, with the recent release of Tomb Raider and Thief from Square Enix, this may soon change. Ironically, both games were developed in the West.
  • Call of Duty Ghosts is not only on track to top this list quickly, it will likely be the first game of the gen to top 5 million. 10 million is also possible, but it might not quite make it thanks to competition from the PS360 versions of Ghosts, the bevy of upcoming shooters, and the lack of longevity after the first year for most CoD games.
  • Note that the only true new IP's on this list are Knack, ZombiU, and Ryse, none of which are anywhere near the top. One can make an argument for a couple of Nintendo exclusives like Nintendo Land, but developerss have NOT delivered much new to the table. That will change when Titanfall enters the list though.

I will update the OP as soon as the Database is updated. Why there is a lag I have no idea...
