We were discussing it this week and he was saying how I was overestimating PS4 and underestimating WiiU (I said 30-40k for WiiU, so it would be close).

Looks like Vita should replace PS4 at the top as early as next week?

It is crystal clear that knack was the system seller of ps4 japan release. With bundle 320k 1st week and 60k second week...35k on 3rd week (being only 17k without knack). And let's not forget knack outsold ps4 on the 1st week.

I'm more concerned about what sony will bundle to sell more than knack (greatest seller on ps4 japan).

About zero bet... I bet he was expecting ps4 to drop to 15k and/or wiiu rising to 50k on that special mind of his.

The WiiU has a 2D Mario, 3D Mario, Wii Fit, Donkey Kong, and Pikmin yet it still can't compete. Mario Kart and Smash Bros can't compete with Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3. p.s: my first argument is really pointless, mario kart wii alone outsold all versions of FF 13, 13-2, 13-3 and 14 in japan. and that's not to mention the much higher proportion on west. smash isn't as big as mario kart but it's still a lot bigger than either FF or KH.

Thing is, PS4 doesn't run Direct X, it uses OpenGL, just like WiiU (which, after a quick search, seems to run an OpenGL version capable of DirectX-like effects), so it's a bullshit reason anyway. That said, I don't expect the 2 games to come to WiiU either way.

But both consoles are capable of DX11+ features. The Wii U isn't.
