I'm not buying another console unless it has "Nintendo" stamped on it.

I love the 3rd party games out there, but I won't buy another console to play them. Why? Fuck you, that's why.

Nintendo content is superb and well beyond the quality and games-craftsmanship of anyone else. I will always continue to buy their hardware so I can play their software.

3rd parties are largely about fucking the consumer and robbing us blind with a continued downward spiral of the valuation of our products. i.e. they keep offering you less and less while increasing the price, individuall and overall.

This DLC image above is a perfect example of what happens when you're only focus is on short-term gains. Nintendo doesn't do this and likely never will. Its anti-consumer and focuses on giving the consumer a lower end product while increasing the price. Additionally, it ruins the IP.

I also refuse to pay for online access. There is no reason for it. PC has lived for decades on free online play for its games AND the games tend to cost less. It is merely another way greedy corps are fucking us.

While the rest of you all have your lubed up asses, I'm sticking with Nintendo and its policy of hugs and high-fives.

So to 3rd parties (that don't put quality on Nintendo hardware) and MSony, I say rot in hell.

Nintendo just give you the same game time and time again..............that is better because?!

Most games are shit now for screwing you over in some form. This is why you wait and get the game + all DLC on steam for $1 or bargin bin 6 months after launch.

The good old, they never produce anything new argument.

Not only is this true but it's question begging because there are obvious new games which you will ignore. Then we have ask about gameplay.

If you produce a ip for years that are first person shooter and than you make a new ip that is a first person shooter that play extremely similar to other shooters is that really new? Does gameplay make something new or just name alone? This up to the person.

OP, currently I'm going Pc and wiiu. Same reasons why I am not buying ps4 or xbone1. Plus, never enjoyed Sony first party. Mircosoft ips I don't enjoy anymore.

Im glad I never bought a wii..or wii U those consoles lifespan lasted ...what? 3 years tops?...no major games for either that didnt look like crap...

There are a lot of great games on both .

I´m of the firm believe that when  a person can´t find "anything that doesn´ look like crap" on the Wii, that says more about the person and their lack of awareness and/ or taste in genres than about the Wii itself.

:)

Man, I read the thread title and expected something interesting. All I got was "I'm gonna limit myself and I want to talk about it because you should care about what I do with my money". Enjoy your Nintendo only life. Regular folk like myself will look at what games and features we're interested in, what platform they land on, what our budgets allow, and make our purchases based on those parameters. I think that info is much more useful than a sticker/stamp/engraving of the word Nintendo on a box, but hey, to each is own.

4 ≈ One

For the foreseeable future, I too will be sticking with Nintendo. I don't plan on spending money to play online (alongside some other issues I have with the direction games are going) and if I really want a game, I'll get it on PC (in 5 years when I actually have a decent PC). For the time being, Nintendo+consoles I already own+indie games on PC will be more than enough to fill my needs.

I wish I bought a Wii, that way I would have avoided the WiiU entirely. At least it had redeeming qualities/games.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

This.  If he want to be limited playing the same game over and over with nintendo failing to keep the games coming at a normal pace, let him be.  There's no need for sony and microsoft owners to be in this position, the games will keep coming.  He is just angry that Wii U failed at retaining third parties games because he thaught that Wii U will have everything including third parties, that's why he decided to sell his ps3.

1) yes I did think 3rd parties would come

2) no that is not why i sold my ps3

I sold my PS3 because there was only one game coming that I was at all interested in and I would rather put that money towards a future console (wii u) while the PS3 could still get a decent resell value.

you thought 3rd parties would come because you let wishful thinking trump logic, reason, and common sense.   for fucks sake, you have to go all the way back to the snes for the last time nintendo had good 3rd party support.  it's been almost 20 years now...

this entire thread you just come off as bitter.  maybe you deserve to be for not getting what you want exactly how you want it but from my point of view you were an early adopter and as such you accepted the risks of early adoption by putting your money down on promise,.. not product.  watching you try and dance around trying to paint nintendo as a savior and everyone else as evil is just soo laughable and pathetic.  nintendo has had their fair share of good and bad moments just the same as everyone else.

but whatever, your entitled to your opinion.   i just think your attitude and perspective is foolish.  play the games don't let the games play you.

same game time and time again is the entirety of what EA creates.

Nintendo's Super Mario and other IPs are 100% new and completely different games each iteration. There's a reason they sell more on one console than Madden/FIFA and other crap sells on all cosnoles combined.

You clearly do not play Nintendo hardware and are basing your logic on fantasy ignorant beliefs held by self-proclaimed core gamers.

are you drunk?

evidently so.

Sony have been launching more new AAA IP's than nintendo do, every single year for well over a decade now.

edit: and when im buying uncharted, atleast I dont have to decide about picking between a red and blue version or X and Y, or whatever other bullshit they can think of.

lol

Of course Sony has launched new IPs. Are we supposed to applaud that? If you make game series centered on the characters and the story, these series need to end. That is why Naughty Dog has made Uncharted and then Last of Us. Here is hoping Uncharted 4 doesn't suck. Sometimes stories just need to end.

And Mario games. First of all, there are like 10 Mario games. I'm sick of hearing people say that there are too many. I think this is pretty obvious, but a game like Mario KART or Mario TENNIS doesn't count. They use the Mario character. That's it. Because Mario is cool.

ACTUAL Mario games. They are only made when the hardware gives a new possibility, that's Miyamoto's philosophy. Compare Mario Galaxy to 3D World. They couldn't be more different. They are both groundbreaking in their genre in terms of gameplay. And they are both masterpieces of craftmanship (the music, the artstyle, everything). Yet people give Nintendo shit for continuing with this series, that should NEVER end, that is amazing in every iteration.

I'm not here to defend that Nintendo is perfect. Nintendo is formed by PEOPLE, every person is different, some geniuses, some just do a good work. That's why Mario 3D World is some of the best shit ever, and the New Super Mario Bros. games are merely OK. That's why Kirby for 3DS will be fun probably, but in the end is just a worse imitation of Sakurai's perfect entry for SNES.

But anyone who says the Wii U is not worth owning (I'm not saying right now, that's personal preference, I'm talking in general) doesn't know shit about videogames.

Kill la Kill is awesome.

"This game has been like a light finally shining into what has been such a depressing time. I feel like this game has given me the power to go on living," the player wrote. "It's something like a miracle. It's helped me remember pure feelings from a more innocent time. I want to thank the development team."

No, opinion is "I like them, I don't like them". Their greatness is pretty much a fact.

"They dont make the type of games i want"

That's an opinion, right there.

"Im playing fundementally the same Mario on U"

Credibility lost.
