Forums - Gaming - What should Sony do with the Move?

Scrap it or add it as optional features for some games. The casual market is fickle and the core gamers are the key to long term success. The only way motion controls can truly take off is with fully realized VR. Till we have that, it will forever be a gimmik.

Sell it to the porn industry so they put some effort in making interactive movies.

They should patch Move + Sharpshooter in KZ Shadow Fall. It's funny, but I can play Killzone 3 in 3D with motion controls and that makes Shadow Fall just look a little bit less advanced.

As much as I enjoyed shadowfall, it was a rushed launch title and lacked many basic features till recently.  That would be a nice addition though.

Heres a thought. Make a game worth playing.

Resistance 3 and Bioshock Infinite aren't worth playing? XD

Though I personally think they should make it very easy to re-map the second analog stick and such into the Move + Navigator setup.  That way all games can use it right off the bat.

Frankly I'm bemused as to why Sony hasn't almost mandated Move support in all FPS games released on PS3/4. MS seems to be able to convince 3rd parties to put in Kinect features for various multiplatform games, and it would seem that Move controls for FPS is a no-brainer.

Sony loves devs too mutch.

They do have something in place to help get titles to support features like move, but they don't force 3rd parties to do things they don't want.

Sony hasn't done much with the PlayStation Move so far on the PS4, or even on the PS3 really.

What do you think Sony should do with the PS Move?

Then conversely what do you think they will do with it?

Do you have a Move?

Sony should kill of PLaystation move and focus on VR headset. They don't want to be supporting two technologies that won't even work together.

Why wouldn't they work together? You need to have controls in a VR-game.

One option is a gamepad, but then you have to hold your hands together in front of you... like in any other game.

With motion controllers (one part of the controls in your left hand and one part of the controls in your right hand), you can interact with objects in the virtual world with more natural/intuitive motions:

Isn't it allready been quietly killed?

PS gamers have spoken, they do not like nor want motion. Sony dares not upset their fans nor lose their top spot as "corporation that actually cares about their fans". If they were smart they shouldn't mention Move again.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

How would Sony upset their fans by offering different game experiences? They are not forcing their customers to buy these games if they don't like them.

They are not forcing them to play every game with motion controls, if it fits to the game or not (I liked the Wii controllers in many games, but had wished for a gamepad option in even more Wii-games). And they are not forcing their customers to pay for motion control hardware, even if they don't want to use that (mandatory Kinect-camera).
