Well, according to the latest poll: Nintendo is the new EA, 100% chose 'Yes'.

Nintendo is doing DLC because everyone forces them to do it. And if they do it is completely optional stuff noone needs.

Mario is not a yearly releace because Mario Kart =/= NSMB =/= Mario 3D =/= Mario&Luigi =/= PaperMario etc.

its like saying "Batman Arkham Origins gets a score of 5/10 because its to much of the same stuff we get in comics every month". They are 2 different types of products in one case 2 are different games in the other 1 is a game the other a comic.

NSMBU is more if a different game to Mario3DWorld

Than COD is to MOH or (insert grey/brown mediocre game here)

Pretty much. His arguments are completely idiotic here.

So his most solid piece of evidence in this facepalm-inducing theory is one unsourced, undated comment from a Nintendo staffer that he himself admits isn't particularly high up the food chain? LOL okay.

"To those who don’t believe this, imagine if Nintendo did look at their games as ‘sports iterations’ as EA does. What would the sales be? The sales would be extremely bad because no one associates Nintendo as EA. When we look at the plummeting 3DS sales and dead Wii U sales, we can make a connection with the software being terrible. So his arugment is that Nintendo's software are being damaged because they've becoming iterative...and argues that it can't work for them as well as it does for EA, who is notorious for the exact practice and makes off like bandits with Madden and Fifa every year. Way to talk out of both sides of your mouth buddy.

And it only gets better from there:

Is it due to Knack being high quality? *snicker* *snicker*” The answer is YES. Knack isn’t intending to be a yearly iteration EA sports game. It’s just a game. So Super Mario World has won GOTY awards and been heralded as one of the best game releases in years by the press and gamers alike, while Knack has been treated as middling at best. Yet Knack sold better, so it obviously means that Knack is a better game? If that's the case, then Call of Duty--again, the poster boy of the supposedly poisonous "iterative" strategy--must be the greatest franchise in the history of gaming.  After all, it sold WAY better than both, despite being part of a long running yearly franchise whose creators state outright that they don't want to change each entry too much.

In fact, most of the top selling games on the PS4 and Xone have been sequels to annual/bi-annual franchises. Why is it that that same strategy that's supposedly killing Nintendo games isn't stopping people from flocking to Battlefield, CoD, Madden, FIFA, Assassin's Creed, or NBA2K?

Yea, read that Maelstrom post. He does raise some good points as always but he doesn't know Nintendo has a long way to go to become EA. I mean if he played a Nintendo or a EA game in the last couple of years, that would have helped. 

Someone gift him a copy for BF4. 

As they say, opposites do attract. Poor EA, Nintendo will never hand over it's love.
