In the past years after the collapse of the USSR, the religion has gained popularity very fast. |
Religion has nothing to do with the subject, the idea that any protest against gay-centric pircture of the world must be religious is extremely pro-Western. That's understandable because after years and years of propagandistic efforts that's the only protest that's left, but that's not true over here. (Not sure how many times I've explained that to people, countless times, still many missing the point by a mile)

Not ideal, but much closer to truth compare to the western, and especially US, media POV. |

Aha! You've revealed the truth. Crimea is only the beginning to Putin's plans for world domination. |
Personally never denied my agenda, but it's not like we're seeking for global domination, let's be realistic here -- only Europe :D![]()
But afair Putin once said "one area from Lissabon to Vladivostok", I doubt he meant that in the given context though.

I'm pretty sure that I also heard that for a high-ranking EU commisar... I wish I bookmarked the news piece

As I said in my previous post (that you censored) I think religion has no big role in this. I was just explaing him that Russia is not that atheistic country as has he thought.

That's actually a very nice vid, the guy speaking is explaining the stuff in very simplistic way, so even an idiot like me can understand. Only watched a few mins, but I will finish it later.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call you an idiot on the Ukraine topic, but yes, he is very concrete and explains everything from 0. The best thing is that he does so in an interesting way. There is quite a bit of exaggartion on his part in some things, though. For example, the Polish thing - while there are a LOT of Polish foreign workers in Europe, its industry is not exactly in shambles...
edit: While I haven't heard of any Soviet war monument desecration in Ukraine, there is a photo used in the report - that's actually from Bulgaria, I remember reading a news piece on that. The parts about Lenin and Kutuzov are, however, correct.

Umm, because gay people in russia is pretty rare, compared to US. I live for a long time here, didn't see one yet. So, people don't used to that kind of thing. And we don't want to show our children that))
But still, if you don't see/know it, it doesn't bother you ;)
