Definitely not. I think most people agree with me that it's not so much the lack of shine and polish but the lack of life about it. GTAIV from 2008 looks better than this, and that's because the world looks vibrant, immersive and alive.

This looks on par with Prototype.

Check the Gamespot video. Especially from 0:18 to 0:58.

That's looks very alive to me.

Yes, is important for inmersive games that try to recreate a world as real as possible, like for example a racer sim like Gran Turismo tries to be. 

Basically, graphical fidelity is part of the gameplay in games like this, because if its graphics are so real that you think that what you saw is almost real, you feel more inmersed in the gameplay. That's why the industry push the technology.

The fact that people was hyped for something already announced that will never exist, doesnt' help either. It's like that 15 min demo of Bioshock Infinite that looked way better that the final result.

So that means all sandbox games with bad graphics are crap. If you check the Gamespot video you'll see it looks somewhat similar to GTA V (keep in mind the stream compression), so that means GTA V is crap?

No, it means Watch Dogs 2014 looks worse than Watch Dogs 2012. That's what it makes disappointing. A lot of people like me, was excited of that degree of fidelity, and now, after 2 years what we get, is a GTA V level of graphics with more resolution and better fps. That's not what we expected..., at all.

Edit: If not 2012 levels, at least 2013 levels.

Where the hell did I say if it doesn't look like inFamous it is crap? But why would I be happy that the visuals are worse that they were? Watch Dogs of E3 2012 looked like the most believeable open world game to date, Watch Dogs of March 2014 doesn't.

Check the link I posted above...sure E3 2012 was a bullshot (it was well known that it was running on PC btw), but that's nothing new in the gaming industry.

lol this is a gif, the quality of a gif drops due to the formats limitations.

There is no way they did a aliens downgrade on it lol. But if they did it will be funny lol.

At least it looks like there are still a lot of people on streets, we'll have to see how they react when they are not in a scripted environment and situation. But if AI is still good, I won't be very dissapointed.

I liked the trailer shown. Seemed a little worse than before, but not much.
Was looking at the gif at the OP and i didn`t get all the reactions. But then i read the first scene is more recent than the second one... wow. That`s a significant change.

If that really is the PS4 version, than i guess last gen versions will look worse, seeing as Ubisoft was developing different versions of the game.

He mentions that he was playing on a DualShock 4 in the written preview, so I assume the footage in the video is from the PS4 version. Maybe it's not, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I watched the video. That car part was by far the worst looking part in it. Also looked far worse than what they have in the new trailer.

I found this part also very bad in the video
