Why not? Its a good petition. And microsoft have the cash to make it a reality. But this is published by EA. So it will be quite impossible.

Micro would have to drop some serious paper in the hands of Respawn/EA (never know who is in charge there) to get them to sell the IP. Micro has the money to do so of course, but that would surely ruffle some feathers at the next board meeting.
