69.5m games have been sold in 2013 (-6%)
Total Revenue: 2.41b € ($3.31b)
-> Hardware Revenue: 0.59b € ($0.81b)
-> Software Revenue: (Games+DLC/subscribtions/accounts): 1.82b € ($2.5b) (-2%)
     -> 1.470b € (-2%) of that came from digital and retail games

Consoles: 862m € (+5%) revenue. 23.5m games sold (+2%)
PC: 392m € (-15%) revenue. 23.5m games  sold (-5%)
Handhelds: 176m € (-2%) revenue. 6.2m games sold (-9%)
Mobile gaming: 39m € (+4%) revenue. 16.3m games sold (-15%)
DLC, subscriptions and accounts: 348m € (-1%) revenue.
-> DLC: 209m € (-8%) revenue.
-> Subscriptions and accounts: 139m € (+12%) revenue.

Nice to see consoles still enjoy the lion share of the game market in Germany. I don't expect the Netherlands, where i live, to be very different.

I wish we could get this sort of information from every country! It's kinda weird how PC's sold just as many games as consoles, but didn't make as much money... only half as much. And handhelds seems to be pretty niche :P

Retail stays very strong in Germany (revenue):

The same comparison with units (number of games) instead of revenue... since digital games are cheaper than retail games (on average) and mobile games are much cheaper (on average):
