Revenue (Games+DLC/subscribtions/accounts): 1.851b € ($2.4b) (-7%)
1.501b € (-5%) of that came from digital and retail games

Consoles: 819m € (-8%) revenue. 23.1m games sold (-7%)
PC: 464m € (+4%) revenue. 24.7m games  sold (0%)
Handhelds: 180m € (-15%) revenue. 6.7m games sold (-21%)
Mobile gaming: 38m € (+36%) revenue. 19.2m games sold (+48%)
DLC, subscriptions and accounts: 350m € (-16%) revenue.
-> DLC: 226m € (-3%) revenue. 4.68m (+27%) units sold.
-> Subscriptions and accounts: 124m € (-32%) revenue.



Digital-retail sales breakdown:
2011: 26%-74%
2012: 38%-62%

Accessories: 5.031.000 (about the same)

Revenue: 822 million € (-16%, in 2011 it was 979 millions)

Other info:

  • 35% of Spanish people between 16 and 64 years old bought at least 1 videogame.
  • Call of Dutty Black Ops II, FIFA 13 and Pro Evolution Soccer were the best selling games in 2012
  • 20% only buy physical games, 10% only buys used games and 5% only digital. Only 3% have paid for apps.
  • 56% of players are men, 44% are women.

And while it's said to be very PC centric, consoles still had almost double the revenue than PC software.



That mobile rev compared to games sold is terrible lol.
