Anything else would be an utterly moronic move on Nintendo's part that would cost them millions in both hardware and software sales.

I'd take that, although anything other than toony.  Had enough of that.

This was what I figured you were implying with your first comment and why I asked my question of if you had seen the actual breakdown of what was going on technically in the wind waker on the gamecube. I simply had not replied due to your mildly confrontation enticing tone of reply but what the bold and underlined here, is not correct. When it comes to creating an animation such as a cartoon then making it hand drawn and cartoony is of course 10000x easier to do if you take a pen and paper and simply draw what you want, to create this same effect in a 3d game world that you want to give a softer and more cartoon look to everything from characters, water and even explosions... then it takes a hell of a lot more work.

If you think the likes of Gears is more technical to render because the characters look like people and there is more grey per frame than your average fan fic about area 51, you are mistaken.

Oh really. =)

Now I really want you to make a run down of each of those graphical styles in details, what needs to be done to achieve both, how much processing power is required to pull them off, everything. Please, don't disappoint me.

If you knew anything about emulation, you'd know how little it takes to emulate Wind Waker compared to Twilight Princess. ^_-

you talk about how much processing power is needed to emulate a game being the end all of how much power it took to run on the original system? The sega saturn emulator takes a shit load of work and the original Xbox emulation is non existant, does that mean those machines were more powerful than PCs today? No, flawed logic from the very start.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I honestly think the Majora's Mask HD trailer is perfect looking. This would be a great direction, it has cartoon sensibilities but done in such a way that the characters don't look out of place in the somewhat realistic looking environs.

A teaser trailer just like this in April with the full reveal in E3 would go a long way to getting some focus back on the Wii U.

I wanna see the Wii U's tech demo with Link as a game. It needn't be too much realistic but not another Winder Waker HD Link.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

They won't do a Wind Waker HD style.

Not flawed at all. Sega saturn emulators performed badly for years because of the complexity of the console's architecture. But people managed to crack the hardware and it's been possible to run Saturn games on the SSF emulator with near perfect precision since at least 2008. XBox? Beats me. But that's beside the point, now is it? You're trying to go around the fact that a perfectly working emulator like Dolphin manages to run Wind Wind Waker like a charm while Twilight Princess demands more.

You're also evading the request I made, by complaining about the facts I brought forth. So I'll reiterate: "Now I really want you to make a run down of each of those graphical styles in details, what needs to be done to achieve both, how much processing power is required to pull them off, everything. Can't believe Nintendo hasn't realize that a more dark/gritty art style sells more.

OoT/OoT3D/TP are best sellers while SS and WW are the worst.

and you are ignoring my original " I simply had not replied due to your mildly confrontation enticing tone of reply but what the bold and underlined here," I asked in my first question to you had you seen the technical requirements of running the wind waker as in what was going on the the background, you replied "yes I have" you want me to go googling the same thing you've already read and chose to ignore? No I can't be bothered and like I said I don't like your tone in any replies it's the reason I am not going to reply to you again, not because of "points" made just simply your tone of writing does not invite conversation imo, at least not mine.

We all know you're not adressing this part of my reply to you because you have no idea what you're talking about. You're assuming things but have nothing to support your stance.

You made that clear enough.

I wouldn't mind a dark and gritty toonshading look, like the official artwork for Majora's Mask.
