Do you have atleast HD TV?
because HD console without HD TV is a worthless purchase.
x360 has most pc games, running good.
some good exlusives (not much).
BUT it also has RROD. And till summer, when Jaspar(new model) comes i wouldn`t advice you to get x360.
And near GTA4 release there should be some attractive bundles/deals.

when there will be 40GB(or 160GB for 399$) model with BC and dualshock + bundled with MGS4 or PES2009 - get it!
till now, you also should wait.

I'd take 360 personally. I like Halo3, and I wouldn't mind getting some other main franchises, but like someone already pointed out, both get lots of the same third party stuff, look at which has the most appealing 1st and 2nd party games to you.
That's actually one of the reasons I got a wii, because if I didn't, I would not be able to have the first party nintendo games!!!

id go with ps3. if you got an hdtv, its a no brainer with blu-ray playback. both sides have some great exclusive games and i really would reccomend buying what suits you best, however imo ps3 is the better console.
