Forums - Sales - IF Titanfall same effect as gears of wars ? weekly sales boost?!

gears gave the x360 a 20% boost in europe or around 10.000 units

and in usa a boost of around 25.000 units being shy of 30%

35.000 extra units is much for xbox but it wouldn't even help it sell more then PS4 in that week.

Don't copy random editorials.

A load of people will have preordered the bundle that releases same day, so I think 50% hardware increase for that week is doable.

Should there be a drop in XB1 sales before Titanfall because a lot of people will be pre-ordering the bundle?

On Amazon at least, the Titanfall bundle is higher than the base XB1 used to be, but the base XB1 dropped.  Sales will be shifted from this week & last week into the Titanfall week.

Also Gears released in November, that should be noted, but at the same time I don't think Gears had a launch bundle equal to Titanfalls, so a bigger boost from Titanfall should be doable.

What aboyt comparing Titanfall to boosts from MGS4 and Halo 3? Thougg those were actual exclusives unlike TF, it'd be good a comparison.

I just feel the expectations for Titanfall as a massive system seller are a bit absurd

The bundle is not doing to good to be honest. On the amazon Uk listing it dropped down to 39 and is dropping each day whereas the out of stock ps4 is sitting at 11 and rising. So Titanfall is not going to do much in Europe but in US a country which loves FPS it may help the xbox push ahead in sales compared tot he ps4 for march and maybe even April.

VGC should drop XB1 sales March 1st and March 11th to no more than 30k, to account for the bundle effect.

XB1 regular is now ranked below COD Ghosts (PS4) on Amazon, which sold ~20k in US in the last report - so XB1 sales in US should be dropped from regular ~40k to to ~20k this week.

Maybe even bigger. One of the biggest reason why people haven't bought an X1 yet is because they are waiting for the games they want. Wouldn't be surprised about a 100% increase.

I am curious to see if that is gonna happen, or if it will hardly move, like i am expecting tbh. I dont see EU sales going above 20k. US sales might get a bigger boost, i dunno. But i dont see any kind of hype for Titanfall around here.
