It is a piece of construction paper like material made into a rectangle that fits around the box and taped on the top.

So it's like a DVD with a slip-on cardboard sleeve?

Well I could bother you for more details, but I'll just say that's kinda what I expected. A piece of paper taped on a box might be a bit of an understatment. It makes me think of a 8x11 paper taped on a box.
Anyhow, using a sleeve also makes it easy to convert old inventory into a Titanfall bundle. I assume that's going to happen.

Yes, like that. Difference is those sleeves are a print of the box art anyway. I'll see if i can take a picture tomorrow.

Ask away (ill try and get a good picture tomorrow). Sorry for the unclarity in the OP but i thought of the comparison to construction paper after I made it.
As for your second paragraph, that was my initial thought (after seeing the green box and thinking it was suppose to be a custom box).
| Seece said: They did the same for Day One bundle, personally I don't see what the fuss is about, I think it's meant to make the overall box looks smarter/sleeker. |
Its not a huge deal, but when I buy anything expensive, I like everything about the product to look perfect which includes the box. A piece of paper stuck on gives the product a cheap feel.
It was the same with my PS3 GTA 4 Bundle. It just had a sleeve around it with GTA 4 on it. Inside was a normal PS3 box. It didn't bother me at all. In fact, I liked it. Two boxes for your collection, sweet! :)

It's cardboard not paper, and if you base your electronic purchases to the tune of $500 on what packaging it comes in ... well, that's definitely unique!
Yeap me it's the opposite... The less packaging the better... First because packaging is just adding up even more the carbon markup of already bad consumer goods and to me it means the company is actually trying to make effort not just spoil shallow customers like you stuff a fat kids with candies in cartoons to shut him up.... And second it cuts my shipping costs and lower even further the first point... People hunting packaging and therefore giving an incentive to companies to do so should pay a premium tax for their damaging behavior...

So you think adding an additional sleeve over the default box is a more environmentally friendly option to simply changing the print on the default box? Nice logic.
