They did the same for Day One bundle, personally I don't see what the fuss is about, I think it's meant to make the overall box looks smarter/sleeker.

Its not a huge deal, but when I buy anything expensive, I like everything about the product to look perfect which includes the box. A piece of paper stuck on gives the product a cheap feel.  

It's cardboard not paper, and if you base your electronic purchases to the tune of $500 on what packaging it comes in ... well, that's definitely unique!
