Forums - Gaming - What do MS have after TitanFALLS?

Is this thread only about exclusives? Because there will be all sorts of multiplatform games released durring those months like watch dogs, madden, etc. im sure there will be plenty of content for x1 owners.

Multiconsoles matter to people who already own the system.  How are multiconsole titles going to help it sell better than the PS4 when the PS4 being the cheaper console is going to also get these same  titles?  I think multiconsoles will actually help the PS4 sell more since it's cheaper and more powerful.

I guess gergroy thinks because this was posted in gaming discussion rather than sales, it's more appropriot to talk about what games XB1 players have to play rather than what is going to help it sell.

KSR is one of the few exclusive games (maybe the only one) that have release dates; it's coming out on April 8 in NA and April 11 in EU. Exclusives that don't have release dates yet include:

D4
Below
Project Spark (XB1 beta will hopefully be out in the next week or two)
Sunset Overdrive (confirmed 2014)
Quantum Break (rumored to be a Holiday 2014 title, but it could slip into 2015)

Killer Instinct gets Fulgore/Story Mode/Arcade Mode in March. Titanfall will get map packs this year too, I expect.

Then of course there are the rumored Halo 2 Anniversary and Forza Horizon 2, or perhaps other titles that have been neither rumored or announced.

That seems like plenty of content to me. I plan on getting Spark (F2P, but I'll likely spend money on it), QB, SO, and probably H2A, in addition to a number of 3rd party titles (Divekick, Child of Light, Destiny, Witcher 3, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero), so I should have plenty of XB1 games to occupy me throughout the year.

time exclusive CoD map packs, is what comes to mind right away.

I believe that's when Indie games start to matter.

Don't really see much going on for the X1 right now. Sunset Overdrive and maybe a Fable game are really the only title I see headed for the X1 in 2014 (don't care for kinect).

Now I'm not trolling here, but lets give the XBots who claim the X1 has more gaemz a little incentive to persuade me to be a multi-console owner this gen like I was last gen.

2014 releases for PS4 exclusives...

Infamous Second Son
MLB The Show 2014
The Order 1886
Driveclub
Final Fantasy XIV (if titanfall counts for X1, this counts for PS4)
Planetside 2
Various other indies I don't feel like getting into right now, but you get the point...

Other than Titanfall, which I can get on my 360, the only other games that X1 can interest me with is Gears, Halo 5, and Quantum Break and all of them probably won't be out till 2015. Sunset we know nothing about really and Fable has been on a decline every release it has ever had (used to love the series). Gears is overdone and I'm about as excited for another of those like I am another God of War for similar reasons (which means not very). Both of those games would need to introduce some cleaver next gen features to refresh them again (would rather just have a new IP on both ends). As for Quantum Break, will wait for reviews. I'm not dumping 500 (or 400) into another console for one game.

Meanwhile on PS4 2015 list...

Uncharted 4
Everybody's Gone to Rapture (like Sunset, not much is known about this game)
Everquest NEXT
GG new IP
Santa Montica IP (please not another GoW)

In terms comparison to the competition, X1 doesn't have much to offer in number or quality when compared to the PS4 (especially since the best version of multiplats will also be on the PS4 as well). However there is E3 coming up, and that is where we will see a change if any as both MS and Sony have new projects to announce.

I really want to want an X1, but there just isn't enough on the horizon for me to justify it right now (especially since I also play third pary games, therefore I already have enough to look forward in terms always having something to play) so if I forgot something, please point it out.

Does a console have to have big exclusives every month?

It does if you have an agenda!!

Most things seem a long time away. I susoect they might be targeting for the majority of their upcoming stuff to be released come this holiday. We will propably get an anouncement of the next gears at e3 and then some actual gameplay demos of quantum break, that insomniac title and what ever that plane video was. Still is a long time to go without first party games. I made for a decent launch, but summertime just might be felt very hard on xbox one.

Sunset Overdrive could go either way. Insominac's track record is not what it use to be.

Quantum Break. Their first party is horrible. They've been using third parties to mask their lack of true exclusives for a while now. Timed exclusives and money hatted third parties until Halo 5, Quantum Break and Gears 4 come out.

Moneyhat is good keep'em coming... more Quantum Break.

No interactive movies with standard gameplay is what I expect from MS library. Can't find that on the other side.

Plus let me add Sunset Overdrive and Project Spark on that list. Plus Xbox Live Arcade should jump to X1 and reign once again.

What are you talking about? Sony makes plenty of games. Keep trying to cut them down when they are majorly trusted for the reasons of their abilty to make new IP. They have a great selection of games which they've made which is more than I can say for Microsoft.
