Teh C3ll is the reason I think PS3 won't go below $199. No other device uses Teh C3ll and it's not a standard design. So it'll remain a relatively expensive chip to make.So I reckon PS3 will remain above $199 until it becomes an end of life product in the USA. Once PS3 is not longer being actively shipped to the USA then they'll drop the price to sell the last of the stock as quickly as possible.

I reckon 360 will go below $199 for the 250GB model soonish.

PS3 12gb standalone is still at 199

ps3 500gb has been bundled since 2012 with a few games varying from uncharted 2 or 3 and tlou for 269

you would get the holiday BF deals for the 500gb for $200

 

dont follow 360 as much but a quick check showed

360 500gb 2 game bundle is $249

I was talking about US, I actually have no idea what they go for here in the UK.

If the 360 is still at $179 I say it's at that price permanantly, as they dropped it to that last October.
