Loved franchise, I even mostly enjoyed GoW:A and thought some of the "innovations" of that game over the trilogy were good fun. But it's time to let Kratos go and allow SSM to get their creative juices flowing on a whole new H'n'S story.

If they could get a great story then I'd say swim. However, I'd rather see them try something new so I'll say sink.

Very true, and as like someone else said 'if only they could come up with a great story GoWIV could be great" which is very true. But I dont think they can, atleast nothing to improve upon what they already did, which is why it was a sink for me. GoW:A sold poorly and just didnt have the same appeal to other GoW games, and I belive that was by large point that the story felt like it had ran it course after GoW3 and they should have left it be.

I wouldn't mind a last hoorah from Kratos in a true numbered sequel. God of War was one of the best looking game franchises on any platform, so I want to be blown away by SSM . Swim Kratos Swim!

Ascension was rushed in a last digit effort to cash in on the end of the gen. Gears of War judgement suffered the same fate from terrible development decisions such as not being made by Epic, but rather by the secondary team. You could tell the new GOW was remade to fit the multiplayer aspect.

I love God of War games, so I say swim. Then again, if they could make a new ip similar to GOW without Kratos instead, I'd say definitely sink.
