They're all hooked on Cookie Saga so about half of them didn't even contribute.

Also, from what I've heard, about 1/3 of the studio was working on game-play while the rest were on the dedicated fur-simulation team. Just wait till they get hold of Star Fox.

A 5-person team to cobble together plot, levels, gameplay, and physics while 95 people labor on Fox's tail and Peppy's ears?

Slippy Toads tongue man! Gots to have that 1080p saliva!

Don't forget about Falco. Full HD feather physics FTW.

Hey, it works for Crytek.  Crysis 3 barely had any game-play but it did have long walks through an INCREDIBLE looking shell of a ruined NYC.  More enemies and events would have detracted from the game's focus.  I expect Crysis 4 to do away with game-play entirely.

That's the bar Nintendo is trying to reach.  Rumor has it that the game-pad screen will be in dedicated "petting mode", which allows you to brush, stroke, and whorl the fur of the characters--IN REAL TIME.

Nintendogs: Fox and Friends

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

All this talk of confirmation, but I haven't really seen anything solid about what the "rest" of Retro is up to

Perhaps this secrecy is what's hurting Nintendo? While the more faithful such as myself know they're busy working hard, the rest of the media and "hardcore gamers" figure Nintendo's secrecy is actually the lack of development... Hmmm, blog article material!

I really have funny timing, sometimes, huh? My Hype Train episode 2 hours before the official ND, and now my conjecture and speculation about Retro Studios followed by this:

Fingers crossed for a new HD Turok game produced by Retro.

Much of the Retro staff that worked on Metroid Prime originally were part of Iguana Entertainment -- which created the Turok series that became hugely successful on the N64.

Since the Turok game for 360 underperformed and the sequel got officially canned in late 2013, maybe that's when Retro decided to take it up.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

ET the definitive edition for WiiU. Ported from Atari.

I think: Metroid

I hope: Star Fox or Eternal Darkness (not sure about the rights regarding this)

They've done what they can with Metroid, Nintendo should bring that one back in house. DK on the other hand shouldn't be seen until their next HW imo, I'm not a DK hater but to keep it fresh I'd leave that one alone for a good few years.

Its mad how 'small' Retro Studios are really. Just look at what they've made from scratch since 2002:

GCN:
Metroid Prime 2002
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes 2004

Wii:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption 2007
Donkey Kong Country Returns 2010

Wii U:
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 2014

Could it be possible that we'll only see one more game from them for the Wii U? For Nintendos sake I hope not.

Your misguided information really bugs me.

There's no way 1/3 could be working on a new project, Retro has been made into a fur-simulation studio only. Everyone at Retro are dedicated to bringing us the best fur possible, nothing more.
