Anyone else find funny that Mediacreate didnt count the bundled New Super Mario U-Wii Party U-Wii Fit U but did so for the obligatory Knack?

Famitsu counted Wii Party U, not sure about Media Create.

I know that, thats why Im talking about Mediacreate, they have also never counted a bundled game before, even with all the limited bundles the 3DS has

I see the Magi game is out already, and the basket-ball game underperformed compared to COMG. So come on devs, repeat after me : VI-TA!

And Strider is an atomic bomba. Probably Playsation players taking revenge for MH4U.

Every week I only enter into these Japanese sales threads with the purpose of seeing your ridiculous downplay of everything Nintendo related, when that doesn't happen I leave very disappointed. But this time, I have to give props to you because you've truly outdone yourself.

Now since Kuroko's Basketball: Miracle Victory outsold its PSP counterpart you have to resort to some pre-orders on a very small chain of videogame stores to downplay its performance, truly hilarious.

I don't necessarily agree with ryuzaki, but that IP has gotten much bigger since the PSP game. It would have done better on any platform.

Did they count Nintendoland sales that were packed in??

Nintendoland was the wii sports of the wiiu, that means packed in everywhere but Japan

oh. wtf Nintendo, stop being so cheap to your homeboys

PS4 beasting, Software is a little bit lower than expected, except for Knack of course, selling more than PS4 itself lulz..
I was more shocked at Vita's performance, while other platforms had some recently released games, vita had none and still managed to stabilize three weeks in a row at 18k. Incredible !!
3DS is gonna have a rough year. the other year was so bright in incredible system sellers and still didn't manage to be up YoY. Guess that it already built a solid userbase. Persona Q is the next best seller looking forward to it !

So will the Vita start outselling the 3DS starting next week? (Soul Sacrifice Delta)

It will outsell 3DS many times in the weeks coming.

It may outsell it a few times, but not many times.. Lol. Come on now, people, keep the hyperbole in check. Vita will get a bump here and there, maybe, but it's not going to outsell the 3ds with any consistency this year, at all.

Surprised he hasn't been given warnings, he does it a lot.

I had predicted the ps4 to sell 300-350k, I was close! Here's to a healthy new generation! And with ps4 selling wii numbers, it's off to a great start! I hope the x1 can start to compete though, as competition is good for everyone, and the industry itself. Now bring on the games! One question, was knack bundled with every ps4 in Japan? If not, that shows how weak the launch lineup was if that's the best seller there.

The only reason PS4 sold so well is because of Knack. PS4 is doomed once the Knack hype dies down.

OK now that PS4 launch week is out of the way the REAL battle begins next week. That's right next week marks the 1 year anniversary of the Vita's 2013 price cut. The next ~6 weeks will give us a good look as to how the Vita will fare YoY.

Right now Vita's YTD total for 2014 is 237,221 while at this time last year it was at 93,020. Looking at last years number it seems that the price cut's effect had tapered off the week ending April 7th where it sold 19,879 that week and it;s YTD total was 342,531. Thats 105,310 more than it has right now. That means for the next 6 weeks the Vita needs to average 17,552 to be on par with 2013.

If it can do that then Vita should be able to clear it's total 2013 sales and be up YoY again in 2014 andd probably by a comfortable margin.
