I'm part of the First Year Club, luckily enough I wasn't tempted to buy it for 250$. Sorry Nintendo, but it was worth it after the price cut, not before. Still, I love it! At moments, it really rivals the DS as one of the best consoles ever.

Also bought my first 3DS the June of 2011, I believe.
I remember the price cut as well... it was like in July, or early August. I was sleeping in Pony Island Motel in Ocracoke, North Carolina. I woke up around 8 am, and saw they price dropped the thing -.-
Fast forward to the present, currently have my launch 3DS along with 2 others xD

got mine's for my birthday in April of 2011

Best games library two (going on three) years in a row! I will have games to play on this thing til I die (which hopefully wont be for a very long time)

I got mine on March 2013, one of the best purchase I have done.

Got mine on 25th March 2011, so at launch. I bought it on 23rd March off of Amazon.de for 220€ incl. a game.
I don't regret doing so, even after the price drop. My DSi broke some months before and I was looking to replace it, which meant that my 3DS was used for DS games in its first months. Also, buying it before the price drop resulted in me getting the ambassador games, which included Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, the game that made me discover the FE series, which is now my favourite game series.

Thinking about it, the 3DS is the reason I own so many gaming systems today. Because of the 3DS I bought Fire Emblem games, because of the Fire Emblem games, I bought a Famicom and a Super Famicom, which eventually resulted in my passion for collecting games and gaming systems.

Well, anyway, I'm rambling on. Thanks for three amazing years, 3DS!
