Where is Playroom?
BC where you have to buy the games you already have again, is not BC.

You know there is such a thing as bandwagon hopping? I mean look at the Wii......boy did it have the games to back up its sales ;P
Jus sayin.
Lol all the exclusives you mentioned on the list are mostly indies with some as beta games and i wouldn't call piball a great exclusive lol. Forgot to mention som eof teh other games you mention like contrast , trine2 occur on other platforms liek xbox 360 and ps3 and some of them there already occurs on ps3, some on pc an dsome already on vita . Therefore the amount that only occurs exclusively on ps4 is very small compared to xbox one :) The only good game on th eps4 that are exclusively to only ps4 are resogun and outlast. the rest are average lol.
Personally as a PC gamer I don't understand the PS4 hype as there's no really good exclusives. Same goes for Xbone but it does have the 'better' and more fun games so far. I guess it's an investment for the future due to third party games going to be nearly always better on the PS4 (out of consoles) and waiting for the wealth of 1st party studios Sony can tap into later on.

It is mostly due to XBLA and 360/PC games mostly. Sorry to have to tell you that. The list is composed of everything. All PSN games are there too. PS3 still loses. Lists, I learnedm last gen, don't say things between the lines, or what the consencus was with certain games. Lists won't tell you that Ryse is more bad-ass and has a great story (therefore more memorable) then Knack, despite being almost the same meta. Lists won't tell you that Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 provide more big-name genre variety then Killzone contributed to PS4. Lists won't say how Titanfall is going to be bigger then Infamous (not sales-wise per se, but just gamer interest/buzz in general). Glad you agree that big games are the most important, which is why the indie games comment you said doesn't really factor into the equation. Again if it did....360 would be universally known as the gamers console of the 7th gen. I'm sorry..... the point is that lists just don't work. For anybody. I know this from personal experience. It's about memorable, retail, AAA games. |
360 came out in May 2005, PS3 in November 2006. So 360 got the bulk of 2005s games and all of 2006s. And those games being in the 70s range and also being so plentiful as well helps my point even further, since you pointed out that the gap is 100 in that range. Then you look at the 80s and 90s range and see that the PS3 and 360 are close to each other and that the "real" 70s range gap is much closer.
And if you wanna talk story vs gameplay, Lair was pretty badass (you're dragon riding, burning shit up. What's not to love?) and had a great story.....game was still bad at worst, mediocre at best (akin to Ryse). And the only reason I made that indie games comment is because you're trying to say Ryse, Forza, DR3 >>>> KZ, Knack when that's just not true. Looking at things as equal (as you should because for all intents and purposes, they are especially when you factor in the Warframe and DCOU are full fledged games and not "indies"), then, at the moment, right now, which is what this thread is focusing on, the only differentiation is with indies and PS4 has them, XBone doesn't.

Silly comment to be fair. Sales is an indication of how well a product is doing, you cannot interview every single person out there to ask them why they are buying a console, but you would assume its because they feel the product is a better proposition or the cost, or its because of the games... to start suggesting people are only spending £349 because they are all sheep, is frankly ludicrous.
Jus sayin.

Is it really that hard to accept that its mostly XBLA, and to a lesser degree, 360/PC titles, and year head start games that comprise those gaps........you know many people said 360 really didn't offer much in its first year. Those gaps are mostly games released after PS3 released. Either way, your referring to an excuse when it does nothing to change the results.
Point being though, again, was that gamers don't care much for lists, as you are demonstrating. It is the big name memorable games that stick in memory the most.

Sheep have money too ya know. Many things have caught on in the last decade that are more expensive then PS4's price. Deserved or not, people can and will hop on the bandwagon for any product that attains such status. I wouldn't rule it out.
