I've seen a few people doing this on various sites and I decided to follow suit a little. Here are 12 predictions I'm making. Some of which are pretty solid, some are outlandish, but I think they're all possible.

#1 - Capcom will declare section 9 bankruptsy before the end of the year, and will sell the rights to various franchises. Nintendo will buy Mega Man.

#2 - The Playstation Vita will become a sleeper hit in the handheld market due to a combination of decent games, remakes, and PS4 intergration making it desirable to more people. It'll top 12 million units by the end of the year.

#3 - Microsoft will announce that they're discontinuing the Xbox 360, they will also name a date for switching off Xbox Live for 360s. Both will be announced before the end of the year.

#4 - Square Enix will tentatively announce or at least heavily hint at a remake for Final Fantasy VII. No details, no date, no gameplay will be shown.

#5 - The Last Guardian will re-appear and it'll be announced that it's coming to PS4 rather than PS3, there will be a massive fan outcry. No release date will be given though.

#6 - Titanfall will release with moderate success, but will have server issues as most online games do and people will act like it's a massive betrayal. All but a small dedicated fanbase will fall away after 6 months or so and by the end of the year no-one will care about it.

#7 - Nintendo will announce an attachement that will allow you to play 3DS games on the Wii U.

#8 - Valve will fail to release Half-Life 3 for yet another year.

#9 - Wii U will break 10 million sales by the end of the year. Third party games will still suffer though, selling statistically less than on other consoles.

#10 - The Playstation 3 will remain relevant, even outselling the Xbox One globally in 2014.

#11 - Brazil will change it's import laws, though not as much as people want. This will open up Brazil as a new market for consoles.

#12 - World Of Warcraft will announce record levels of people unsubscribing and will have the lowest number of players since Burning Crusade.

So, what do you guys think? Are my predictions decent? Stupid? Inspired? Do you agree? Disagree? etc.

Don't feel like going over all of them, but as far as number 12 goes, WoW subs are actually up after the WoD expansion announcement. I don't think the game will lose many subs on an expansion year.... next year the game might take a big hit, though.

I don't think Capcom is actually doing all that bad, and your Wii U number is somewhat optimistic.

        That will sadly happen for many years until Sony decides to cancel the game once and for all. :(

lol @ 2. keep dreaming. Vita sales are terrible and they still are terrible. No way they selling 12 million this year alone. unless sony bundles ps4 and vita

Wow, didn't see the number attached to the Vita prediction. Yeah, no, not going to happen.

They're doing exactly that in Europe...

If this is true then your prediction is not far off at all

I was purposely avoiding obvious things. Sure I could predict things like "PS4 will outsell Xbox One" or "Smash Bros. on Wii U will sell 5+ million", but that's no fun. I genuinely do think there's a good chance for everything I said happening. I don't necessarily want everything above to happen, but I think that's how the year will go.

Overall I give those predictions a 7.5
