Overrated, totally agree. Still a damn fine game, might be my favorite FF after IX.
Is this some sort of weird meme to say that FF9 is good? Because I clearly remember it being the most uninspired and generic game released in the series.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
I tried FFVI and VII for the first time in 2012 and the annoying random encounters made me rage quit. Same thing happened later with IX although otherwise I found that game delightful. X however I can't get enough - it's the only FF of them that motivates the player to battle thanks to the sphere grid and the battles are actually fun.
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
