But if, and I use the word loosely, but If FF7 was to be remade, then it would have to update the gameplay to modern standards so new comers can enjoy it as well, with that said however, there SHOULD be an option to revert gameplay to the original, perhaps in the difficulty settings or a prompt giving gamers the options of 'Classic' or ' Modern' with a brief explanation when choosing a new game.

This way it should satisfy purists with what essentially would be FF7 of old with a new coat of paint in graphics and CG, as well as enabling new comers to try out this classic but with more friendly and familiar gameplay elements.

But lets be honest, even if hell is proven to exists and then randomly freezes over, Square-enix would still probably fuck it up by trying to tamper with the story, characters, events, or drastically change the gameplay with ZERO options for the original voices & gameplay....here's hoping.

I was joking, but you gotta admit, from a business viewpoint, that it would be brilliant for MS. (Not for the Japanese, though xD)

What if Sony was funding it because MS stopped Versus from being exclusive? This is the perfect hardware to take advantage of for that game. Anything can happen in the world when MS is gunning for everything that you tried to keept exclusive.

I hope it's not happening. The medium needs to go forward, not have millions of dollars thrown at a plot, characters and gameplay systems that were created 15 years ago, just to update them.

Square will probably make it FF VII (online) even tho its a single player game you will have to pay an online fee for it to be playable.

I mean after fucking up the FF series with online installments that are not called ONLINE but instead rob a main series number from a potential good game like they did with XI etc. and the same happening to DragonQuest X being online....

The most stupid thing square can do is making it online and then being PS exlusive rofl.... Probably will happen.
